That’s a good one!

Responsible student should be expelled, remanded and sent to juvenile detention centers.

This is somewhat oxymoronic... someone that's responsible should be punished
What's to happen to an irresponsible person 😊

Agriculture / Katsina CWC: A Right Step In The Right Direction by maisauki: 3:28pm On Oct 21, 2023
"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty"

Katsina is known to be peaceful and famous for being hospitable to people that come from far and near. Perhaps that's the reason for the slogan " Home of heritage and hospitality"
Visits to different police stations make one know that crime is very low here relative to the population (and 'poverty'). People are peaceful with the little they make ( dan kadan mai albarka yafi dayewa mara albarka... this roughly translates to small and blessed is better than plentiful but devoid of blessings)
And boom! the balloon of the peace and security we enjoy was deflated; and insecurity ran rampage in parts where most Katsina grains are grown!
To take this insecurity head-on, His Excellency, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD (whom I assessed to be a forward-looking gentleman because I've met and interacted with him several times) came up with a brilliant idea 💡: Community Watch Corps, CWC
Someone said the monetary palliative received by the Katsina State govt is to be used to tackle insecurity. To me, if successful, it's an investment that'll yield multiples within a year. This is not just an assumption; it's an experience-based fact!
1. Batsari is a local government area where you can get almost all grains in large quantities (on their market day). Also available are potatoes, cotton, onions, animals, etc. Monetary volume of weekly transactions here isn't less than 200 million naira
2. Yantumaki is a town in Danmusa LGA. It's also like Batsari but like half of the trading capacity of Batsari
3. Danja is acclaimed to be the tomatoes headquarters in Nigeria. During season (which lasts around 3 months), daily trade isn't less than 50 million
4. And the big boy: Dandume! You'll think people here are just magically turning sand into rice, maize and beans. 500 million is a conservative figure for their weekly trades

5. Sabuwa is an LGA beside Dandume. An indigene left the place and relocated to Katsina city due to insecurity. When he was there, he used two tractors to cultivate his farmlands. What his harvest used to be is better left for imagination! And there are many more of his type like that

Alas, since the insecurities started, which affected most of these LGAs and some five others, these markets, nay these LGAs, have become a ghost of their former selves

So, spending some few billions to make these farmers return to their farms and these markets ensure that it's fully secured isn't just a welcomed development alone but also a right step in the right direction
May it be successful

The thing be say this life no just get formula, na to just find wetin dey work for pezin, make pezin stick to am.

Three weeks ago, a guy I know of won 15 millionaire by staking a game of just N300. With 1000, that 15M could've even tripled. At that moment, I really wished I was a gambler. Imagine the turn around that'll follow that. There ade other stories out there too.

I think the key in life is just to never go overboard and always playing safe. Otherwise, life no get formula jare. Like if you dey gamble, always use your brain. Only 10% of your net finance. If you're not one, do something else to improve your life, but within limits. Because even careless businesses have ruined wealthy people.

With carefulness, no one ever loses. Ire o.

Eden Hazard was the bane of his own career.
He punctured his own career because of greed and impatience. He ought to have stayed at Chelsea and maintained the momentum but he left for Real Madrid where he became a shadow of himself, winning all his trophies from the bench. Where's the honor in that?

Learn life!
No one would have seen it coming. Remember, the great CR7 left Man UTD to Madrid almost in the same circumstances

Travel / Perceived Corruption In Nigerian Railway Corporation by maisauki: 8:40am On Oct 06, 2023
On my way to Lagos from Ibadan today, some NRC employees lured us to board the train without tickets. Initially, they acted like they were taking us to the ticket counter only for them to lead us to the Railway without official ticket.
They collected cash on transit.
——————————————————

On 02nd October 2023, my friends and I were going back to Lagos after a weekend getaway in Ibadan.

We arrived at the Train Station around 03:40pm. While we were walking to the entrance of Obafemi Awolowo Train Station Ibadan, a uniformed NRC official approached us.

He asked if had the tickets and I told him we were on our way to get tickets. He then asked how many we are and I told him that we are five (5).

He told us to follow him. We were confident we could trust him because he was wearing a uniform and identified as a staff.

My friends and I followed him thinking he was leading us to the ticket counter only for us to pass through screening and head towards the Railway.

I immediately told him that we do not have have tickets to board the train but he said I shouldn't worry that it would be sorted.

He handed me over to another uniformed staff who lead us to Coach 7. I told the lady the same thing that we do not have tickets and she said she was aware and it would be sorted.

I was so uncomfortable and unsettled so I asked two other persons if they had tickets.

I discovered every single person onboard coach 7 had no ticket and were lured in the same way.

At this time, I realized what was happening and became more uncomfortable.

I was about to step out to look for the ticket counter when I saw that the time. It was 3:55pm.

While pacing and looking for a staff, I saw new people come into the train and I approached one of them. I asked him if he has a ticket and he said yes. I asked him when he got the ticket and he replied, "Just now"

This ruled out my assumption that we were too late.

I saw the uniformed staff that led us into the train and asked him about the tickets. His response was that we are a group of 5 so if we go to the counter to purchase the tickets we would not be able to sit together.

I was shocked. He couldn't even make something believable up.

I went back to my seat. I still had my money with me so I would wait and see what happens next.

Few minutes after the train started moving, they started collecting cash from people on Coach 7

I paid N18,000 cash for 5 persons

Over 60 persons paid N3600 each without tickets.

Very very soon, the new railway will be grounded and some people will turn around to blame truck owners. Today it is 1 coach, in view months if this is not checked, greed will set in and the gang will be collecting cash on 5 coaches.

Twenty Things We Learnt From

#NigerianElections2023

•You can win an election without the support of the incumbent President.
•Peter Obi's candidacy proved that even when divided into three, the Islamic vote will still defeat the Christian vote.
•Ninety-three million people registered to vote, but only twenty five million actually voted. It is very doubtful that Nigeria's population is really 220 million.
•Lagos is NOT a No Man's Land.
•Rufai Oseni is an Obidient propagandist, not a journalist.
•The main reason for the PDP's loss is because Peter Obi divided their vote. But for him, Waziri Atiku would have won hands down.
•Ego is no substitute for strategy. If Peter Obi had been more strategic, he would have been the sitting vice president today.
•Cyberbullying, threats and intimidation can win you a nomination but not an election.
•Some people are very vulnerable to mass hypnosis and hysteria.
•The Southwest and Northwest determine election outcomes if they unite.
•Many pastors and prophets hear from a strange spirit who lied to them that the next President will be Peter Obi.
•Over-reliance on so-called 'investigative journalists' made some candidates and their supporters overconfident.
•Web-based polling and polling done in English will always produce inaccurate results because a majority of Nigerians are not proficient in English.
•The quietness of the core Muslim North is not stupidity. They saw through Yes Daddy.
•Religion (both Christianity and Islam) was weaponised. Peter Obi, with his "Church, wake up and take back your country" comment, was the main culprit.
•The Sultan of Sokoto and Pastor Adeboye displayed exceptional maturity and rare wisdom. Most other clerics did not.
•Decisive Governors, like Wike and El-Rufai, can use their personalities to affect the voting patterns of their states.
•Aisha Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) proved that Nigerian women can be as tough as Nigerian men.
•The Naira re-denomination limited the influence of money in the last election.
•Some people will prefer a coup if they cannot have a President of their choice.
