Phema: BTA: Business Travel Allowance

You usually get it from Banks at original CBN rate. Its lower than the black market but you must show proof of trip and itinerary.
BTA is for business travellers. Usually with a higher limit. PTA is for individuals. You can't get more than $4000 in a quarter.

Phema: Thanks again. I intend booking next week. I hope the price remains this way or even reduces further. grin
Lol Phema. This is what I always do. I keep reserving till i'm ready too pay. U can reserve for 72hours. But then you'll have to pay at a GT Bank or through the GT internet banking platform. So If I check today and see $1650 I reserve. I'll have till Sunday to pay for it. Then i'll check again tomorrow for a different price or better connection and reserve etc. Hope that helps

nefertitiram: Hi All,
I lost my babies, poor handling in ICU here in Nigeria, even at 7 months. Another reason why everybody needs to have their baby in the US! I pray no one experiences this kind of loss in Jesus Name,
I have managed to move on. Time to go back to the drawing board, sad loss after trying for a number of years.
I cannot question God.
So sorry about your loss Nef. God will restore double. There's a reason He permitted it and we just have to trust His will. *hugs*

beautyx5: Hello House,

I am also thinking of flying BA at 35 weeks. I dont understand why their policy should state one thing and they do something else at the time to board the flight.

Doesn't seem right. Does anyone have any experience with flying BA at 35weeks or 36 weeks?
BA sticks to their policy as long as you have your fit to fly letter which I think must be issued recently. The letter must state categorically that you're fit to fly. I flew them some weeks ago in my 35th week. 34+5 actually.

chloe7: no actually with my experience too with international flights, you pick your bag at your last destination, if your hand luggage is too much sef and it's lockable they will collect it and tag it and check it in for you. You don't need to go through the stress of carrying load if you are connecting.
I'm not sure I agree with you people. I remember they kept announcing at JFK to pick up your luggage even if you're connecting.

Hello Everyone, been a silent follower on this thread until i asked the question about BA last week.

I just felt the need to give back. I learnt to be honest from this thread. I claimed testimonies, and basically, i just got a lot of confidence from people's positive stories.

I arrived the US yesterday. I flew BA at between 34-35 weeks. Since my hospital did not categorically state that I was fit to fly, I had to get another medical certificate from Port health. Just your blood pressure and your weight and it will be issued. BA was ok. no one asked me anything, not even at Heathrow if that clarifies any questions anyone may have about the airline.

Came in through JFK and just like @Logictinz, POE was smooth. actually i was not asked any question just told me to thumbprint and capture and have a nice stay and stamped me in. i contemplated going back to ask if he looked at me well. on handing over my customs form, the official then asked why i was there. told him to have my baby and all he asked was how much cash and where i work and how long i want to stay. no questions about my doctor, no cash confirmation, nothing.

When i read Logictinz' story i claimed it. i was calm and God was just in control.

Just felt the need to contribute to reassure anyone who thinks it's impossible to state the truth. actually, i kept being reminded 'Say the truth and the truth will set you free'. Also be calm. in the end, you'll wonder why you worried so much about anything. God is faithful and if He starts the process, He'll perfect it.

Thank you all and God bless everyone.
