Chukwueze has to start against South Africa especially in the CAM role he played against Jamaica where he shined, if there's one player that always plays his best against South Africa, it's Chukwueze. |
wildchild1:We have to win our remaining games and hope results from other groups (especially from the runner-ups for the playoffs) go our way, the more points those runner-up teams drop, the better for our chances.. still slim margins. |
Spainever:For starters, Eguavoen must resign or be forced to, we have to make a firm example by boycotting every Super Eagles games as fans and pay no match day tickets going forward if Eguavoen and his likes don't go. Then questions would have to be asked if this current NFF should be disbanded and a emergency committee set up to address the fucking issues with our football structure. Enough is enough, we can't for the sake of patriotism keep wasting our time and emotions on a national team that contrives to never give back to us. Left for me, let the likes of Osimhen etc even retire cause I fear for his mental health if we fail to qualify, the media backlash on him and the other senior players will be brutal. |
We should never have sacked Rohr... |
Take a look at the table with 3 full games to go. Gabon is likely going to finish second from their group and they already have 18 points! That is with 3 games left to play. Look at Cameroon's group. Cameroon, at second, already has 15 points with three games to play. No second place team from Nigeria's group will get to the World Cup. Take that to the bank. It isnt happening. Moreover, let me add -- there will be multiple second placed teams that will finish no less than the 19 points that Nigeria cannot overcome even if Nigeria wins the group. The only route is to win the group and win by huge margins. South Africa already understands this and their agenda is to run up scores making South Africa v Nigeria + forfeiture forced by FIFA irrelevant. Our only path is to run up scores BIG!! What this means is that Nigeria must win her remaining games with nothing less than 3 goals, starting from tomorrow...if it means packing the bus and scoring those goals on the counter with 25% possession, so be it. |
solonnachi:I could be wrong, but as it stands now...Even if we win all our 4 remaining games convincingly, qualification is still not guaranteed because we will have to hope for the playoffs, so our best chance is to make the playoffs. But then we already have the best 4 teams that are currently in better positions than us to make the playoffs based on points, so we will have to pray they all drop points in their groups respectively for us to sneak in. Barring a mathematical slip up or perhaps a miracle, we might not make the world cup and I've made peace with that; except the god of football is a Nigerian. |
So you guys were expecting a land-locked small neighbor to South Africa that depend on them for economic goodwill not to bend over for them? 😂😂😂 E don set for Nigeria be that, we now have to win all our games by comprehensive score lines to stand a chance of qualifying, I've emotionally unhinged myself from this world cup. Let's just focus on the AFCON jare. |
Ghana, South Africa etc are on the verge of qualifying but they have a full camp already...those are teams that are serious and mentally locked in about going to the world cup and leaving no crumbs behind. But for our darling Super Eagles, with the exception of the few players who had to take care of deadline transfers like Chukwueze, Uche, Dessers and Tolu, there's absolutely no acceptable excuse why the rest aren't yet in camp. What these set of overhyped players don't realize is that if we fail to qualify for this world cup, the effect and failure won't really hurt us as fans, we go curse, wail and vex for 3 days and move on to other distractions (afterall we are used to Super Eagles disappointing us already). The failure will be on the plahers who need a world cup more than us the fans, thank God many of us were alive to have experienced some world cups in our lifetime. The abysmal and shameful record of not making back to back world cups (first of its kind in our football history) will be a scar on the career of these players. It's only Osimhen I even feel bad for, he's the only passionate player with that rugged Naija mentality who gives his all cause he knows what winning means, a mentality some of those players lack. What a waste of a promising generation of players, I say we disband this team and just rebuild around younger players waiting on the fringes if this lot fail to qualify for the world cup and fail to redeem themselves by winning the AFCON. The late Keshi did the same and we saw our a new generation of players emerged to win the 2013 AFCON and qualify for the world cup. |
Just posting rubbish without verifying The only axis Gentle the yahoo and his criminals still have pockets of control are parts of Okigwe especially in Aku. The miscreants have been flushed out from the larger parts of Isseke, Orsu, Arondizuogu and Ihiala. Most of them have now fled to Umunze. |

It seems Dede's storyline and hype was centered around her controversial "ships" with Kola, Jason and Koyin...the moment those ones stopped paying her much attention and feeding into her game, she shrank into near irrelevance. |
