I respect every1's opinion on this o,but for those who assert that paying ur tithes to God takes priority over your relative's life ,let's rephrase the questions as this : [b][/b]YOU ARE ABOUT TO GO TO CHURCH WITH YOUR TITHES AND YOU DEVELOP A SUDDEN MEDICAL EMERGENCY THAT NEEDS A SURGEON TO OPERATE ON YOU IMMEDIATELY OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR LIFE.THE FEES FOR THE SURGERY AND OTHER MEDICAL BILLS AMOUNTS TO THE TITHES TOU WANT TO PAY.NOW WILL U SORT OUT YOUR HEALTH WITH THIS TITHE MONEY OR WILL U HAVE FAITH IN GOD TO HEAL YOU SO THAT U CAN PAY THE TITHE TO HIM AT A LATER DATE AFTER U ARE HEALED?

The 'forget ' part means not holding a grudge against the offender.In reality,forgetting some hurts is difficult .The brain has a way of storing them.Sometimes,not forgetting the hurt can be helpful so as to protect us from getting hurt a second time.We will be able to steer clear of such a situation and avoid being hurt.

Na wa for us Xtians o! The Jews who were given the Mosaic Law no longer tithe,yet we Gentiles especially us Xtians decided to 'carry' tithes on our heads.Are we saying that out of all the 600-odd laws given by Moses,only the law of tithing was not done away with by the blood of Jesus?Are we not insulting God? Sort out ur debts and u will have peace of mind so as to give an offering to the Lord which is done 'joyfully and not out of compulsion/necessity or with a grudging heart'.

I would save my relative's life o,even if the person is just my neighbour not neccessarily a relative.Apart from the fact that I dont believe we Christians have anything to do with tithes,I would give my offering money to my relative who needs it.What if I was the one in his/her position?I believe God is more interested in us loving our fellow humans.

The issue about Catholic priests being made to be celibate is totally wrong in Christianity.There is no compulsion for celibacy in the Bible,it is even abhored (1Tim 4:3).The priests should know that not everyone has the gift of celibacy,very few people do.What baffles me is that when the priests take their vows of celibacy they don't castrate themselves since we all know that the testes produce testosterone which is responsible for sexual drives.In that way,there will be no cases of 'illegitimate'children or pedophilia
