Popular music executive, Don Jazzy has revealed that he uses controversial singer, Portable as a case study to train his artistes.

The Mavins founder, in an interview with Joey Akan, explained how Portable’s controversial lifestyle keeps him in the spotlight, unlike, Buju, who despite his talent doesn’t receive publicity like Portable.

To further prove his point, Don Jazzy touched on how Portable, who has been in the spotlight for a year already and has a million Instagram followers, while Buju is still struggling to catch up.

He noted that as a result, the algorithms would continue to favor Portable over Buju because he keeps many entertained.

The music executive stated that he continues to ring it into his artistes like Rema and Ayra Starr’s heads, to follow Portable’s strategy.

A mom of five brushed off her daughter’s advice to not get her eyeballs tattooed due to potential blindness — and now, she’s losing her vision.

Anaya Peterson, a law student, was in awe of Australian model Amber Luke, who tattooed her eyeballs a vivid blue and went blind for three weeks after. Despite Luke getting her vision back, it seems that 32-year-old Peterson might lose her sight for good.

“I was just going to get one [eye tattoo] at first, because I thought that if I go blind, at least I’ve got the other eye. I should have stuck with that,” Peterson told Kennedy News. “My daughter told me that I didn’t want to do that [the tattoo] asking, ‘What if you go blind?’ She wasn’t on board with it at all.”

Now she wishes she had listened to her wise 7-year-old. The Belfast, Northern Ireland-based woman was left hospitalized by the eyeball modification after a potential reaction to the ink, and now claims she is at risk for developing cataracts.

“I don’t have 20/20 vision anymore. From a distance, I can’t see features on faces,” she said. “If I didn’t have my eyeballs tattooed, I wouldn’t be having this problem. Even today I woke up with more floaters in my eyes. And that is dangerous.”

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has stated that his administration will not abandon any of the projects embarked on by the previous administration of Adegboyega Oyetola in the state.

Governor Adeleke who promised to sustain the harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Legislature to move the state forward also expressed his readiness to ensure that everything needed for the smooth running of the Osun State House of Assembly is promptly addressed.

The governor made this known on Monday when he paid a courtesy visit to the Osun State House of Assembly to solicit the support of the legislators in moving the state forward.

Maintaining that government is a continuum, he called on all and sundry to support his administration, noting that since election has come and gone, the state needs good governance, which his administration is ready to provide.

“Now that election is over, I want everyone to join me to move the state forward; government cannot do it alone. For we to have an enviable state, everyone must be ready to play their part for the state to move forward.

“I promise that my administration will not cheat anyone; it will be an all-inclusive government where everybody will be happy and peace will reign supremely in the state,”

He said.

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri and some Tinubu supporters had a slight altercation in front of Chatham house, London.

Reno Omokri who had gone to Chatham house, Londo where Tinubu was speaking to protest was met with resistance from some Tinubu supporters.

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has called on the people of Bayelsa State to vote for him in the 2023 general elections, saying he knows the way to the prosperity of the country.

Tinubu spoke on Thursday at the APC presidential rally held at the Ox-Bow Lake Pavilion, Yenagoa, amidst tight security and torrential rainfall, with about five gunboats patrolling the Ekoli River in front of the facility.

The rally was preceded by a visit to the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council, headed by the monarch of Ekpetiama Kingdom, King Bubaraye Dakolo.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has said that the collection of Permanent Voter Cards will be decentralised to various wards from January 6, 2023.

The commission also said that PVC collection would commence at its offices in each of the 774 local government areas across the country from Monday 12 December 2022.

INEC, in a statement on Friday, said the decision was reached at its recent retreat in Lagos, where the procedure as well as the timetable for the collection of PVCs were finalised.

The statement, which was signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, indicated that the collection would be moved to the 8,809 Registration Area/Wards from January.

The statement read in part, “The commission has fixed Monday, December 12, 2022 to Sunday, January 22, 2023 as the dates for the collection of PVCs in all the 774 Local Government Offices of the Commission throughout the Federation.

The Commission also resolved to devolve PVC collection to the 8,809 Registration Areas/Wards from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th January 2023. Those that are unable to collect their PVCs at the Local Government Offices of the Commission can do so at the Registration Areas/Electoral Wards. After the 15th of January 2023, the exercise will revert to the Local Government Offices of the Commission until 22nd January 2023.



“All eligible and valid registrants can collect their PVCs from 9.00am to 3.00pm daily, including Saturdays and Sundays.
