If however the length of stay granted you at the border. Typically it's to limit of 180 days per.saty.
If you have exceeded that time then you have OVERSTAYED.

Another caveat if at the border the CBP restricts your stay to less than 180 days then if you stay more than that time you have OVERSTAYED.

So this news as you have posted it is for them to get details on your stay. Show your visa, that's all. Since you're paying cash you are not using public funds as a visitor.

Got into Houston (IAH) 1st week in October.
I had no interest in flying to another state and then connecting as I find that stressful.

I had no issues at immigration.

I was asked why I was there- mentioned holiday and baby.
Questions asked were
1. Doctors appointment
2. If any payment made (I had made a deposit)- showed him a receipt.
3. What I do for a living and what does hubby do
4. How I found the doctor
5. If I told them I was pregnant at interview - I said no because I have been doing drop box for years and he said cool.

Every other question was just from a gisting angle.
I had $9k and I didnt carry any food

Hello House, how can i reschedule the Visa appointment for my children. Their appointment is for November 2025 but I want to bring it closer to this year if possible. Agents are charging too much money to reschedule. I spent like 600k naira to reschedule my own through an agent. Any suggestions.

don't pay any Agent . Just keep checking once yiu see available date yiu can reschedule. That's what I did . My daughter date was for August 2025. But I kept checking d site and I was able to select an earlier date. D only thing agent ve is time to keep checking they dont manufacture date . If u can keep checking u will be lucky

Hello Everyone . For us that rescheduled out appointment and it was changed back to the old date. I have good news . Please try logging in to your portal . Seem the date has been updated to the new updated date. I just checked mine now and I can confirm it been changed back to d Nov I rescheduled to. Praise God cos I did not ve any proof cos I didnot save d new date so I was unable to even contact the Customer care .

On the previous website, my interview date was set for January 2026. However, after migrating to the new website, I rescheduled it for October 22, 2024. Out of nowhere, the date reverted to 2026 again. I contacted customer support about 3-4 times, and each representative assured me they would escalate the issue. I checked again tonight, and the date has been updated to October 22, next Tuesday. I'm really hoping it stays this way and doesn't change again. A tip is to also upload the appointment confirmation as they may not have it stored anywhere.

So they readjusted my date back to next Tuesday, I just hope and pray it doesn't change again. Thank God I saw mine before the actual interview date, I called them 4 times today to complain and even attempted to apply for an expedition. Saw today that it updated, so it should be good to go for next week by God's Grace.
