Hello. Please feel free to ask your questions. Thanks Ttosyn12: |
No. In Lagos. Thanks Otokini01: |
God has everything to do with it! First and most important, I would not have been able to make the payment in full if God didn't provide the source of income. Also, there are people who go for their interviews and the VOs just outrightly deny their applications without asking questions. So please keep your disbelief to yourself. Thanks reneka955: |
Hello, it's a slightly long read. Please bear with me. So I have been following this thread for about 9 weeks...right after I got the mail about the RHA letter. Brief intro...I submitted my online application 13th September, did my biometrics 16th September, got the RHA Letter mail 11th November, made the required payments and sent my receipts and the letter 26th November. Till date, I'm yet to get a response. I have sent emails and filled the webform but nothing yet from the VOs. On Tuesday 7th January, hubby and I were discussing other options, we were really considering Barbados because it's Visa free for Nigerians and I don't have time to waste waiting for a Visa (I'm starting my 35th week today). Eventually, we decided on me renewing my American Visa. I have been quite averse to renewing my American Visa due to all the negative news one has been hearing about Visa denials due previous birth(s) in America. Also, hubby tried renewing his American Visa sometimes in November but he was denied after he presented my itemized bill. The VO was however kind enough to mention to him that what we paid was quite low for vaginal birth ($6.5k for OBGYN, Hospital and Epidural). Hubby decided that we would pay back the discount the hospital gave us. I disagreed initially due to all the stories I had heard. I had concluded that once you have had baby in America, irrespective of the amount paid, kiss your Visa renewal bye until further notice. Eventually I agreed for him to pay the discount (still had no intention of renewing my American Visa as I believed I would get a positive response from the Canadian Visa request) Cut the long story short, I applied for the B2 American Visa on Tuesday 7th January, got an interview date for today and my Visa request was granted. The only document the VO asked to see was my itemized bill from my 1st delivery. Total payment made was about $14.5k after paying back the discount. After perusing my itemized bill and other receipts, he said I should go to pay the N40.7k reciprocity fee......and when I turned to leave, he said I should ensure I also pay my bill in full again. It's worthy to note that asides from my itemized bill, I had my Dr. correspondence (using the same OBGYN I previously used so it was easy for her to send me a letter within 24 hours of contacting her) and I also had other supporting documents that could have been requested for. Finally, for anyone on this thread who's interested in Birth tourism, I would highly recommend that you apply for an American Visa whilst waiting for a feedback on the Canadian request. Just have all the necessary documents when you go for your interview and pray for God's favour. I have been praying for favour and confessing positively since I submitted my application on Tuesday night. I believe God would grant us all our heart's desires. Cheers |
Hello. I have successfully renewed my Visa after paying the discount I was given. If you enjoyed a discount, just call the hospital account department and tell them you want to pay the discount you were given. After paying the discount, ask for a new itemized bill. With your new itemized bill which shows you paid for your treatment in full, you can proceed to apply for renewal. Another thing, which I believe is extremely important is also to pray for God's favour. Do your bit and believe in God that you would find favour when you go for your interview. Cheers! Msadesina: |
