Politics / Breaking: Senate To Probe Bukola Saraki & Melaye Over False Certificate by mambe: 3:56pm On Mar 21, 2017
The senate committee on ethics and privileges will be probing Senate President Bukola Saraki and Dino Melaye.

The committee will investigate an alleged seizure of a bulletproof car allegedly owned by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The bulletproof SUV was seized by the Nigerian Customs.

The committee will be determining if the seizure is the reason behind an alleged witch-hunting of the Customs boss, Hameed Ali.’

Recall that the Senate had summoned the Customs boss, Mr. Ali to appear before it in uniform.

But Mr. Ali appeared before the senate in civilian attire.

He was asked to leave the Senate chamber and reappear before it in Customs uniform.

However, there were insinuations that the senate was being hard on Ali because the customs had seized a sports utility vehicle (SUV) of Saraki.

Consequently, the upper chamber decided to investigate Saraki and Sen. Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi).

Aside from the alleged witch hunt, the committee will also be probing them over false certificate claims pertaining to the seized car.

The Senate’s decision followed a motion sponsored by the immediate-past Senate Leader, Ali Ndume (APC, Borno) which called for the probe of both men.

Politics / Re: How President Buhari Was Poisoned by mambe: 2:15pm On Mar 21, 2017
If the president was poisoned through his air conditioning, what about his driver or other occupants of the car? Did the president drive himself? If whatever happened to him can be traced to his driver, then this theory can hold water, aside from that, all na wash.

Travel / USA Bans Laptops And Tablets On Flights From Saudi Arabia, Dubai & Others by mambe: 9:57am On Mar 21, 2017
The United States has announced she is banning electronic devices from cabin luggage on certain flights originating from some countries.

Laptops and tablets are banned in flights originating from Saudi Arabia and seven other Islamic countries.

The new rule, which is expected to be officially announced will take effect today.

It will apply to nonstop U.S.-bound flights from 10 international airports in the cities of Cairo in Egypt, Amman in Jordan.

Kuwait City in Kuwait, Casablanca in Morocco, Doha in Qatar, Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Others are Istanbul in Turkey, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Passengers will be barred from putting laptops, tablets, digital cameras and other large electronics in their carry-on luggage.

Only cell phones and approved medical devices would be excluded from the ban.

The ban will apply only to foreign carriers including the Royal Jordanian Airlines. No American carriers will be affected.

The reason for the ban was not immediately clear.

The ban had been under consideration since the U.S. government learned of a threat several weeks ago.

The ban comes after President Donald Trump attempts to overturn court rulings against its travel bans slammed on 6 Muslim nations.

The Justice Department said it will appeal a Maryland federal judge’s ruling that blocked Trump’s travel ban.

The federal judge in Maryland issued a nationwide preliminary injunction on one part of Trump’s revised ban.

The preliminary injunction will remain in place indefinitely until it is either lifted by the Maryland judge or overturned by a higher court.

Earlier a federal judge in Hawaii, U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson, made a more sweeping decision on Trump’s travel ban,

The Hawaiin judge said the Trump’s decision was “significant and unrebutted evidence of religious animus driving the promulgation.”
