Lolz. The thing is that in still water when you overfeed them, whatever they don't eat decays which produces carbon dioxide which suffocates them.

In addition if they manage to eat up all you give them they must also pass out all that waste which again fouls up the water faster than the oxygen can be regenerated, which again causes the water to become toxic.

It can be a shock to us people how little fish actually eat, to the extent that we think we are actually underfeeding them, when we are not.
