The hierarchy is

1.Emperor
2. Oba
3. Bale

The correct word is Obale.. some call it Bale. but with time, they started calling it Oba. Lagos state have many obas, who represent Emperor Ademusiwa. There is Oba in Epe, Ikorodu, Oshodi, ikeja,lekki,alimosho, ojo, oworo etc. obaship is base on town, the more town we have we install an oba in that town. It is not the same as Emperor Ademusiwa




So when you show the oba of lagos. You are saying he is just a representative of Emperor Ademusiwa. We use to call it the bale of lagos , bale of ikeja
