The west and north have been in alliance over the years as d north takes on military artillery and power the west takes on d economy and that has been d case till today......abiola won the 1993 June 12 election despite contesting against strong northern candidates but d then military regime refuses to give up power and Obasanjo was elected in 1999....Jonathan was fortunate to become d president bcoz Yaradua died and even after then if not for d intervention of d yorubas d north won't have allowed Jonathan take over d power.........there's no way northerners will see a yoruba on d ballot and support south south or igbos that's d bitter truth
