As the 2023 /2024 academic calendar winds down, it is a common thing to see schools organise elaborate events to mark the end of the academic year.
In most schools, it is also a time to send forth their transitional students / school leavers. Just as it is a time to celebrate students with outstanding performance and teachers.
At the Orange event Centre beside abattoir Agege Lagos, Apata Montessori School organised their glamorous end of the session party which was attended by parents and pupils of the school. The event which was used to celebrate the achievements of the school in the concluded session as a pupil of the school scored 191 in the recently released national common entrance examination but the icing on the cake was when the school management rewarded the best teacher of the year with a cheque of #500,000.
The excited parents seeing the good appreciation done for the teacher Mr Afeniforo Samuel pledged one after the other hundreds of thousands to round it up to a million naira. He was also rewarded with half plot of land in Lagos.
The teary Mr Sam couldn't hold his excitement and appreciated the school and the parents.
Indeed, the reward of teachers are now on earth.
