bashr8:ahh another fucking troll. |
Who/What is Al Harem?? |
@DerideGull Yes I know biafra was an eastern region, what bothers me is that they don't mention other minorities, they talk about preserving Igbo culture but I haven't heard anything about the other little tribes, Do you know any MASSOB non- igbo leader?? THIS is what I'm talking about, I want them to commit 100% to the minorities and give them a voice or not to commit at all. So that when the new state is formed, People wouldn't have this argument about one tribe controlling everything. |
Also for everyone, I never said the anioma people weren't Ibo or delta (although wikipedia seems to think otherwise) but rather the land they occupy has always been for Delta state and so if they want to join Biafra, they will have to leave the land. if the republic of Biafra is formed do you think other main tribes e.g. yoruba people living there will be comfortable?? They will have to move as well. an example of this kind of situation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_citizens_of_Israel#Self-identification |
Delta-Igbo from my dad side and Edo from my Mum. So you see I don't hate Ibo people. I just want everyone to be treated equally. |
@Ngodigha1 Either you haven't been reading my posts carefully or you are just biased. True I made a mistake mentioning Edo and I'm sorry for that. But I've read the manifesto and I even posted some links so that everyone could read it as well. Go back to this website :http://www./ and read it. Not once did they mention other tribes, the only tribe mentioned there is Igbo. I hoped for an intelligent conversion but since that is not possible I'll just leave the thread. |
@PROUD-IGBO Think before you type, the Anioma people are of mixed race between deltans and igbo people, but the land it self belongs to the deltans. If they Biafra Republic is finally free and they decide to join, they have to leave and make way for other citizens who will be kicked out of Igbo land. Also from wikipedia: "Ethnic identity crisis In recent times, the Anioma people have become piqued with the Igbo of the southeast on whether the Anioma are of Igbo ethnic group or not. The diverse history of origin of the people have made it quite difficult to classify the people and continues to set the people against the Igbo of the southeast so that while the Igbo are of historical views that the people are part of the large Igbo community, the Anioma have discredited this argument maintaining that only a fragment of its people such as Igbuzo (Ibusa), part of Ogwashi-Uku, Ejeme Kingdom, the Isseles, and Oko are of Igbo ancestry. An argument that the Igbo continually debunk, though the anioma people speak a language that is very close to igbo, most of the communities can still trace their origin to the ancient benin kingdom." Once again read my post before you reply, I'm also for the Republic of Biafra, but I don't want it through dishonest means. Let them do what their manifesto says. |
@PROUD-IGBO Go read my posts again, I never said there were no Ibo's in Delta or Edo, EVERYONE knows there's is no region in Southern Nigeria where you wouldn't see ibos ( including random places like Ibadan ), rather what I implied was that Biafra wants to claim parts of the western and southern Niger Delta as their own which doesn't belong to them. |
@Ngodigha1 No you fool, you are Niger- Deltan, but the Igbo tribe can't claim some states as theirs because it was not originally thier land, because you are very slow in understanding, think of it like this: In the United Arab Emirates only 20% of the people living there are citizens, all the rest are foreigners. Even though the number of foreigners is greater than the number of citizens, can the foreigners decide to take land there and form a separate country?? |
Also if I'm to go with the policy on their website (http://www./), Awka Ibom and Calabar should not be part of biafra. After we take all the lands which don't belong to the Igbo tribe, what will they have then?? |
@afam4eva That is very true, but the point I'm trying to bring up is that the Biafra's say they want to" rescue Igbo people, land and culture from the merciless and brutal stranglehold of Nigeria" (http://www./) but the way they are operating, it seems they also want to exploit the minority tribes as well. Since when did Ijaw or Urhobo people become Ibo?? When did Delta or Edo state become Ibo land?? Especially Edo state that has a long history with the Yoruba tribe. These are just some of the things I want everyone to talk about, I'm all for the Independence of Biafra but not when it gotten through cunning means, |
*a part* |
@dede1 Also, although some Ibo people live in the states I mentioned above, it don't mean they own the land or are original citizens. Say the above is false would be like saying Lagos is apart of Biafra because there are many ibo's there. |
@dede1 The reason I asked this question is because the original Republic of Biafra included the whole Niger-Delta region - Ondo. If you knew that, you wouldn't be talking shit. @afam4eva You know when I say Niger-Delta I mean the Western and Northern Niger-Delta regions which includes: Delta, Edo, Bayelsa and rivers which is home to ethnic minorities like :Urhobo, Isekiri, Ogoni, Ijaw etc who are culturally diffrent from the Ibo tribe. |
Hello everyone, I have a question for fans and supporters of MASSOB and Biafra. Would you still support if you heard you will not have the Niger-Delta region?? After all they are very different from you culturally, and some people there believe if they join, they will become an oppressed minority. What do you think?? Please reply. Once again, no stupid comments please. Thank you. |
@odumchi I understand what you mean, although I think dividing up the land 3 ways will be more difficult, plus having major commercial center's like Lagos , Port Harcourt, tourist hotspots and a lot of natural resources will help Southern Nigeria a lot. |
Hello everyone, this Muslim-on-Christian Violence has led me to think that it will be better if the country splits up into two halves (just like Pakistan and India), What do you think?? Will this be good for Nigerians in general?? Please no stupid comments. Thank you. |
