Until you realize there may be no blueprint waiting for you.

If keeping up with your circle repeatedly empties your pocket, you may eventually have to choose between fitting in and moving forward.
3. Your Addiction to Looking Successful
This one may hurt your ego.
You may have enough money to upgrade the car but choose to invest instead. Enough for the expensive phone but keep the old one. Enough to move into a bigger apartment but decide, "Not yet."
Sometimes building wealth requires allowing people to underestimate you while your finances quietly become stronger.
4. The Belief That You Must Rescue Everybody Immediately
When you're the first person doing well, family needs can start arriving from every direction.
Help where you reasonably can. But if you repeatedly empty yourself solving everybody's problems, you may never build enough financial strength to create lasting change.
You cannot become everybody's ladder while you're still climbing yourself.

SixSeven: This is another variation of eating corn but Obi knows he has to capture more votes in the North, he has started eating food. One of the things that resonate with the talakawa in the North is if you are down to earth like them. It's not bad advice if you think about the politics of it.
In Northern Nigeria, it has strong political history. Leaders like Malam Aminu Kano used it to describe a movement that fights for the rights of ordinary, marginalized citizens. Traditional and religious teachings in Hausa culture often emphasize helping and protecting the talakawa. Masses believe a leader who eats, dresses, and lives simply genuinely understands their daily struggles with poverty, inflation, and lack of basic infrastructure. Historically, Northern Nigerian masses were heavily subjugated by traditional feudal systems and elite political syndicates. A politician who rejects elite luxury is seen as a liberator standing up to oppressive rulers. Flashy wealth in politics is widely associated with stolen public funds. A modest lifestyle serves as proof that the leader is not using public office for personal enrichment.
Balewa was also loved for this. He was a simple man and I will attach that picture of him enjoying himself with children during his leave. In modern time, people like Kwankwaso have used it to their advantage. Even when Yar'Adua was president, the people loved him for his simple life and you can still see the video of him praying and behaving like the ordinary person. Don't forget Yar'Adua introduced the servant leader ideology when he became president. So am I surprised Obi has been given the recipe since that's what he does normally?
Whoever is advising Obi is smart about it. If you did not watch those videos, just know that the Talakawa deeply admire individuals who possess kaskan da kai (profound humility) and mutunci (respect for human dignity). They value leaders who reject flashy luxury to live, dress, and eat simply among the people. They look for gaskiya (absolute honesty) and a total lack of personal greed, trusting those who refuse to use their position or wealth to look down on the less fortunate. These people are not dumb. You can't give what you don't have. So I do not think you can fake it.

Peter Obi wanted to reform Anambra’s health sector, and he was met with fierce resistance from those who benefited from the old system. But he refused to cower to intimidation or cave in to their demands.
He pushed ahead with the reforms and built partnerships with churches and voluntary agencies to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.
What happened afterwards?
Anambra emerged as the best performing state in the South East in immunisation/polio eradication, earning a $1 million award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The state also remained polio-free for 5 years.
Peter Obi then added additional govt funding and channelled the award money into building 10 maternal and child healthcare centers, mostly in Anambra villages.

If the so called subsidy is restored, and fuel price is slashed to something like N500 per litre, will it reduce the economic suffering of Nigerians, yes or no?

In every functional society the government helps the poor by way of subsidies on petroleum, education,food.
The idea that government needs money from saved subsidy funds to build infrastructures is rubbish.Imf, world bank are the ones suggesting such heartless, draconian policies.
If government needs more monies let them cut down cost of running government, tackle oil theft,impose higher taxes on luxury goods,look for alternative sources of income like mining.
