The SouthEast Governors Forum has banned all activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the Southeast region.

The forum rose from its emergency security meeting held today at Enugu State government House, to announce the ban.

The Nigerian Army has refuted claims on social media that it would be totally withdrawing its troops from all roads in Aba and Umuahia. In a statement released yesterday, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman who is the Director Army Public Relations, said the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, while addressing newsmen in the state, said there would be gradual withdrawal and not the total withdrawal of troops. The former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, has vowed to unseat his successor, incumbent
