The Bauchi state government under its special scholarship program has sponsored a number of indigenous students at various levels of education both within and outside the country over the years. However, the latest are the ones due for graduation from igbinedion university okada. Over 50 students of the state that are beneficiaries of the program are meritoriously due for award of bachelor's degree in professional programs like pharmacy, nursing,medical laboratory science and engineering. However, this is practically impossible at least for now, due to failure of the state government to settle their tuition fees for an unbelievable period of two sessions.. One of the students complained that many facilities in the school are no longer accessed by the said students and most of them can not even afford to complete their projects due to the logistics costs involved and failure of the government to pay them their monthly stipend for over 2years. According to my source,which happens to be one of them,they had done all they could and all they keep getting is void and empty promises of today and tomorrow. They are pleading with all stakeholders capable of doing anything about it,to please come to their aid and safe them the trauma of spilling over for reasons not up to them.
