what I’m asking is how you reached the embassy to ask for your passport back and the withdrawal letter from the embassy. Because when I tried contacting the embassy for a withdrawal they gave me the same generic message about my visa is in queue

I sent an email to school first, to confirm i'll get my full refund.

Once confirmed, they requested for proof of visa withdrawal. then i sent an email to embassy that i cant fulfil the purpose for which i applied for the visa as my resumption date have passed. I got acknowledgement from embassy and sent to school.

My school doesnt have the Jan intake, and i cant wait till Sep 2027, besided Ireland don comot for my mind.

The country is full of indians and even them are complaining of no Job and racsim on reddit.

you can email them for refund after the final extension date, and explain the situation to them that its beyond your control.

they'd give you your refund. its better this way for me, because i wont have any rejection on my passport.

This is my 14 weeks of waiting and my latest arrival date is 28 September...

My school said I can only ask for refund if am denied and then present the rejection letter... As it is now, I can't even withdraw but have to wait for approval or rejection..

After 10 weeks of waiting and school didn't give extension on resumption date, I've withdrew my visa application, and embassy I've responded that they will send my passport by next week.

My school didn't a Jan intake for my course, so i've applied for refund as well. Hopefully everything goes well.

Bye Ireland, I can sleep well this weekend and not think of my application or getting a refusal.

The email is correct its not scam,

or the person can check their AVATS application form the one that has "Not Valid For Travel".

I used access bank, but you've to get dollars yourself ( I used USD cause its easier to get). I got USD from Bdc operator at good rate, then he sent it to my dollar account. then i went to Access bank to use their foreign currency transfer, on the form i wrote the payment in euros. If you do this in the morning, the payment will dropped before 2pm or next day, it depends if they got approval on time.

Quick question guys, has anyone recently paid Irish university tuition from Nigeria using Form A, especially through Flywire? Which bank did you use, did you pay Flywire in EUR or USD, and how long did the whole process take? I’m looking at a €10k tuition payment and Form A could save me more compared to paying directly in naira, so I’d really like to hear from anyone who has done it recently.

Hi guys, please I’ve been trying to open an account on isd but I’m stuck at verification for the past few days now. And now the id pal app is not allowing for a new submission.

I immediately get a response from id pal that either my image or passport is not clear and I should try again using the submission link in the email.

Applied on 6th July, tracker said it was dispatched on 10th of July, and got notification from VFS that it is under processing on 17th of July

or is VFS doing this to manage applicants expectations? coz sending a documents within Abuja shouldn't take that long.

Dublin Embassy used 1 month to process 1 week application.

June 4 since July oo , and now second week of August, they changed it to 11 June. Omo i just weak.

I was expecting to see July on the application received date. It is well.

I hear you Ayo, thank you for your input. From what you've just said, i think i will wait and pay in lieu than losing the job.

But you know, my Nigeria mind is telling me my case would be different , i mean, we've seen cases were applicant received their decision in 1 month or 6 weeks. Someone i met recently applied in first week of May and received decision on July 3rd.

Getting a decision before your September resumption date is slim unless your application was sent to Ireland. As for your job pls do not resign and pray your visa pull through and also start preparing to pay thr lieu if it’s not much. I made the mistake and it’s the worse decision of my life right now and it’s been hell getting another job since then. I advise you start gathering money to pay thr lieu if it’s not much cause chances for this September is slim and you might defer to January with visa on 50/50 mode so pls think about it very well

This is me any moment from now. I submitted my application in VFS Abuja on 6th of July, I got notification that it got to the embassy on 17th of July (though i kept wondering if it was sent to Dublin, because 2 weeks is a lot of time). But anyways school is resuming on the 14th of Sep and i have to give one month notice in my company, otherwise i pay in lieu( which I don't want). I am planning to resign this month, though I know its very risky. sigh

honestly atp there is no telling, my advice is you dont resign from your job.

It is compulsory, check the irish immigration website, you'll see "Accommodation and Vetting Certificate" as part of the required documentations.

Hello guys, I just joined the thread and haven’t read through. But I will really appreciate if I can’t get help on whether I can still get admitted for September 2026 intake.

I’ve applied to NCI and University of Galway. But the agents NCI said I should contact for visa process said my application will be ignored because I didn’t applied through an agent, and because I will be needing a visa. Please how true is this. The funds and everything that I need is available.
