To be honest, some Yoruba guys in Ilorin are lost already but not all....

You should never allow your religion to come before your tribe... Be it christianity or Islam.

Religion atimes can make you lose your identity
The Fulani in ilorin have adopted Yoruba name

There's no fight
I think Yoruba has given niger Delta more freedom in Yoruba land than any other tribe

If they want us out of oil companies
They should return all the lucrative lands they own in lagos
Last I checked apapa that's worth more than $35bn is largely owned by niger deltans

The 21st Obi of Onitsha, HRM. Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe has a very very Igbo name, Onitsha is filled with IPOB and Biafra supporters.

Igbo language is spoken from Igbanke, Onicha Ugbo, Agbor, Asaba, Ibusa (Igbo Uzo) etc before you even arrive at Onitsha.

Come down from your ivory tower and face reality grin grin
Stop deceiving your father
Emir of Ilorin has a Yoruba name Dolapo and Yoruba is spoken in ilorin

Igbo have eze not obi !
Obi is a corrupted word for Oba

Who still read papers? It's a liar that have their witness in another planet. If there are Kwarans who believe they are part of Yoruba, you would have at least seen a few of them hot on the heels of the guys who claimed to be northerners.

They don't call them MESU JAMBA for nothing. I've always said that the Yoruba part of Edo, Kwara and Kogi should be left out Omoluabi nation, they are lost forever. I got their body language long time ago, so I blame any SWmer reaching out and lumping them with the heartland.
Nope
Kogi Yoruba wants to join ekiti or form a state with non ilorin Yoruba in Kwara

Most people don't even know that Kwara State is 70% Yoruba, 20 % Tapa and 10% Fulani.
The owners of Ilorin, the descendants of Afonja have never denied their Yoruba identity.
As long as Igbomina people of Saare, Offa, Omu- aran, Aala, Esie, Igbaja, Oro, axis and the Ekiti people of Kwara State and our Okun brothers in Kogi state are not denying their identity, we can always leave Ilorin behind, what is in Ilorin anyway?, we are talking about economic treasures like Esie museum and fertile farm lands of Igbomina and Okuns here, what does SW stand to gain from Ilorin economically?, that Facebook poster is indeed a learner.
If they choose to follow us we shall take them, if they THINK they're not Yoruba, we SHALL leave them behind.
gbam so far non ilorin yoruba kwara wants out thats fine
my only concern is Jebba there are about 4 yoruba towns with obas in the north of ilorin
so how will ilorin follow gambari and those ones will remain with yoruba
unless we create a swaziland in yoruba nation and lock them up

According to him, all our talents, hardwork and brilliance are because of 'One Nigeria' and would be useless without 'One Nigeria'. Yoruba folks ought to be competing with the likes of the Japanese, Americans , Germans on the world stage. But we have been reduced to competing with yibbo people coz we are trapped in this contraption that tells us we can't develop past a certain point because some other parts have to play catchup and slow down the rest of us, we can't generate our own power (even though we certainly have the capacity to) because some people who have not invested money in IPPs like our states have would feel bad, or we must get permission from Abuja to allow us build a light rail on our own soil. We are supposed to endure the jealousy and envy of some people we share the same country with, who wish us ill and hope the worst befalls Lagos and the rest of the SW. Only a self-loathing slave would choose such existence over the inpendence to chart his own course through life.
God bless you

BabaRamota1980:
Its not that Yoruba isn't aware of the benefits of a dissolved Nigeria, but that historically our civilization bequeathed to us a legacy of dimensional growth and expansion. Even when faced with the worst adversity we triumph. Dissolution of Nigeria and the resulting benefits pale in scale when compared with the challenges of Kiriji War for instance. We did not dissolve the Yoruba Commonwealth because of competition and today we see that we are better off for it. The Yoruba signature is that of a builder, the one who takes nothing and brings out of it something beautiful to behold, or who meets a dilapidated situation and invests in its improvement and rebrand.

We are resilient and we are creators of urban civilization and order.

We have vast investments in Nigeria, the challenge we face will wear down in the course of our resilient stay, and we shall triumph and return to the regional governance.
Kiriji war was as a result of hegemony of oyo Yoruba
And that's 1893
Under yorubanation we will build a better nation
With equal constitution!
What's the point of investing when tax goes to other regions

I was referring specifically to none other than the slavish Ilorin-fula Yoruba wannabes whose mentality he's depicting, not the other Kwaran yorubas who do not share such inferiority complex.
Oh yeah those of Alimi extraction
That said Yoruba needs a lot of awareness

The funniest thing here's that some yorubas rob themselves with hausa and fulani which the division isn't smooth enough. Now they are clamouring for restructuring in which I don't think it will work with the present politicians we have at the center. I strongly believe if yoruba nation is been form yoruba people will do well on every spheres of life.
Gbam
I'm 100% confident Yoruba nation will have electricity not this nonsense we are managing generator

Some Yoruba people need to be smacked in the head for them to reason like humans. How can a Yoruba man say that Yoruba people survival lies on other Nigerians tribes? How can a Yoruba say that Yoruba companies cannot survive when we leave the country? If that is so, then how come American, south korea and Japanese multinational companies are surviving? Note that South Korea and Japan are monoethnic countries.
His ignorance stinks me!
Gbam !
I read an article where someone said Yoruba leaders have failed to wake the inner Yoruba consciousness in us !
This guy is a typical example
Imagine during the lagos Ibadan debate Yoruba senators were not there to champion the cause ?
PoliticsRe: Ilorin Is Not A Yoruba Land by Markfemi2: 5:31pm On Aug 19, 2017
Most of those people with Yoruba names
Are Fulani ilorin who adopt Yoruba names they really from the Alimi ruling family
Saraki is from that clan so when you see such a thing you should know it's not real Yorubas!

Nigeria should be in this age..especially.. Yoruba with all the endowments bestowed on us by God.Have you not seen that the North is saying..if we(north) do not grow..then the rest of the country too must stay with us in the stagnant state we created for ourselves.I am sure you are benefitting from the rot.
Yoruba under Nigeria has no light no good schools
Yoruba is not controlling its borders its water even companies in Yoruba land don't pay profit tax to it

Nigeria can never be restructured! Why do Yorubas like to deceive themselves? Is it part of our culture or what?
It is easier to split the country than to restructure it. The Northerners see no difference between both.
Gbam !
It's like Yoruba don't want to accept the truth Nigeria can't be restructured
Or they re not ready to start agitation to exit Nigeria maybe due to role we played during the civil war
