Most people don't even know that Kwara State is 70% Yoruba, 20 % Tapa and 10% Fulani.
The owners of Ilorin, the descendants of Afonja have never denied their Yoruba identity.

Its not that Yoruba isn't aware of the benefits of a dissolved Nigeria, but that historically our civilization bequeathed to us a legacy of dimensional growth and expansion. Even when faced with the worst adversity we triumph. Dissolution of Nigeria and the resulting benefits pale in scale when compared with the challenges of Kiriji War for instance. We did not dissolve the Yoruba Commonwealth because of competition and today we see that we are better off for it. The Yoruba signature is that of a builder, the one who takes nothing and brings out of it something beautiful to behold, or who meets a dilapidated situation and invests in its improvement and rebrand.

We are resilient and we are creators of urban civilization and order.

We have vast investments in Nigeria, the challenge we face will wear down in the course of our resilient stay, and we shall triumph and return to the regional governance.

The funniest thing here's that some yorubas rob themselves with hausa and fulani which the division isn't smooth enough. Now they are clamouring for restructuring in which I don't think it will work with the present politicians we have at the center. Some Yoruba people need to be smacked in the head for them to reason like humans. How can a Yoruba man say that Yoruba people survival lies on other Nigerians tribes? How can a Yoruba say that Yoruba companies cannot survive when we leave the country? If that is so, then how come American, south korea and Japanese multinational companies are surviving? Note that South Korea and Japan are monoethnic countries.
