Okay, one morning,a man was late for work so he hurriedly dressed and left.On his way close to the office,he discovered he forgot an important document at home so he had to rush back.He went, picked his document, and looking at his lovely wife,he gave her a kiss and took her a picture on his phone. Hours later when he had settled in his office,he brought out his phone, and started admiring his beautiful wife with smiles all over his face. After sometime he noticed something in the picture, rushed back home and shot her dead....now what could ße the reason Note:The reason is in the picture MODERATORS you can help move to a more appropriate thread if it isn't

As it is....'MONEY' is the root to all evil.well,am not going to take sides on that I have long known NAIRALAND to ß an e-discussion forum, where you can come drop opinions, get to know other people's views and get lots of criticism.Without wasting any further time,i will go straight to the point. My sister was popping the floor this morning and just looked at me and said 'in fact all this schooling sef is just to make money' I objected immediately and said it all depends on the person's choice....some do it for the money and... some to get explored and some cos what lies in the end(For their passion to ß fulfilled).Still on the matter, she was on a wider view saying in short all we do in this life is to make money. She also said 'okay take a look at the artiste, the footballers and the likes' and I said they make much money doesn't mean ALL are after all that cos of the money, some could be for the love they have for it and without knowing, they make a 'blow' someday and also, that I think is an African mentality. The argument continued and I had no option but to bring my situation into it. I said...'Look! As a student of Agriculture, You know I have been aspiring to study medicine and even in that field..surgery,still at that......Neurosurgery why do you think I have been on the chase for that course even as at present when I know/have heard the plans of the Federal government in the agricultural sector?' Again I said even if medical practitioners make enough money as you claim...the question is do they still have time to spend the so called 'enough money'? (Speaking of our eldest brother a doctor... who had to remain in his working place one certain E-xmas period where the whole family was gathered...more like a re-union) all these where just to prove that some people are after their hearts and passion and not really the money.Saying most people I may agree to some extent but 'ALL'.....NO! And excluding myself doesn't make it 'all'. Now to you nairalanders...what's your take on this issue. Thanks in advance |

Wanted posting on religion section but was telling me congestion bla bla bla...anyway,mods you can help move it. Following the burning of 8 black Churches, Faatimah Knight –a Muslim student of the Chicago Theological Seminary– has started a movement aimed at rebuilding the churches. The tragedies occurred in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Carolina; within a 10-day period, leading to a state of uncertainty and immeasurable loss.To this effect, 23-year-old Faatimah Knight launched Respond With Love – a campaign set at raising money with which to replace the churches destroyed. “We must always keep in mind that the Muslim community and the Black community are not different communities,” she said. Speaking to NBC News, Knight explained the need to show empathy even as a Muslim in this critical case as it affects the churches. “We wanted to show that as a Muslim community, their pain did not go unnoticed by us—that we did, if fact, feel deeply for their loss… The Muslim community and the Black community are connected in integral ways, one cannot tell the story of one in America without telling the story of the other. We hope that these churches might stand tall again as a testament to the power of human goodness over human vileness and to one day be a place where God’s name is oft-remembered,” she said. It’s been a laudable move seeing Knight team up with Ummah Wide, the Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative and the Arab American Association of New York to gather around $81, 745 in only about 12 days. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at its 2015 Combined Policy Meeting, held on July 14, 2015 in Abuja, announced the adoption of a policy whereby candidates of universities with surplus applicants for the Unified Matriculation Examinations (UTME) are reassigned to other universities with lower number of candidates than their capacities. According to the Registrar/CEO of JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, the policy has two benefits: It will be beneficial to “needy Universities” that is universities with lower number of candidates than their capacities, as this will ensure that these universities will have more candidates to admit. Candidates will have better chances for admission in the universities they are re-assigned to, contrary to situations where they would await admission in the universities of their first choices until the admission exercise closes and they forfeit admission in that session. This policy has been implemented with immediate effect. Consequently, the eligibility for Post-UTME screening in the University of Lagos like other universities in Nigeria has been determined by JAMB. Sourced from ngscholars.com |
