And again is there a point in time you ever owned the domain name and let it expire?

Hello all, pls I need urgent help. I got a mail from afternic that one of my geo domains sold for $200. I have seen the name in my old afternic account but cant even remember the registrar i used then checked whois and the registrar is godaddy and available at godaddy auctions for $160. Godaddy says "taken" but that i can get it through their broker. Please what can I do here?

I thought of it tbh. I just considered it to be unethical and besides it might not change anything at that point

Like they say, they are the neccessary evil. Hopefully others become very competitive at some point.

I abandoned domainjng 3yrs ago after selling only 2 names because I was very discouraged. Recently I resumed back and did more research based on my domain class with Iyke promotion back in 2017. Registered 5 names and listed them. I have never had the time for outbounding so I have completely drifted away from geo names.

Got a $2500 offer from a buyer for this particular name and i immediately contacted iyke promotion and took all his advice. I declined offer and requested $3500 instead. I didn't hear from them again so I decided to take their $2500 offer after few days . Surprisingly buyer countered my request with $4000 lol. I said within myself these guys are not serious buyers but gbam! Status changed to "payment received, awaiting funds to clear" lol and finally got the sale mail today.

Spaceship marketplace looks promising. Currently using their for sales landers for most of my domains as making an offer there is similar to the old Dan's lander. Hopefully to report my first sale in there soon. Though there has been several sales reports and good reviews already. 5% commission too is very OK.

Definitely a strong competitor may force Godaddy to reduce their over high commission.

Imagine sell a domain for $799 and Godaddy paid me $599. Domain I looked for the buyer and reached out to? That's more than 15% commission.

Afternic is definitely evil with their high commission. Hopefully soon others will become more competitive
