I wished this was the case, I just pray non of us have problem that requires us to be asking for advise on the Internet

Keep quiet. Nigeria is not useless. Read the story again. She is not saying the truth. St the beginning she was saying it happened to her friend but later she was using I pronoun and me. All her responses show she is actually the one. It appears the exam was written for her.

I Can't fault you for this thought, because this is exactly what the man she met at the waec office told her not until he saw her ND and degree cert and he saw the grades in it, that he believed she could have done the exam herself and for the fact that the result is not even good only c6 in math every other subject is either d7 of f9. As for the story not been straight I was only trying to hell her stay as anonymous as possible which is why I created a new moniker. Also imagine it happened to you and you are reading responses like this when you are already down.

I am just asking for better advice for her because the only advise I gave her is to look for Ms scholarship outside the country.

But you said it was a friend at the beginning. First you said it was a friend, then you say it is you. And your story is long and full of inconsistencies. They told you to bring another passport because the initial one was not clear. Along the line you were robbed of the only proof of innocence.
All these point to one possibility: someone else wrote that exam for you and used his passport instead of yours to avoid getting caught in the exam hall.

this happened to my best friend she is not aware that I am posting this just trying to find a way forward for her we became friend in 2005 so i was aware of all her predicament, she was actually with us in 2013 when she was called from home that they were robbed all her previous certificate, birth certificate and other documents including the first print out of the result were stolen since the she has been using affidavits with police report

You don't need the WAEC certificate for a job because you already have a higher certificate. The only time a prospective employer will ask of the WAEC certificate is if you state it as your highest educational qualification. Another time that it will be requested is if you get a ministerial appointment or you go into politics to become a senator or a governor or a president.

As for the proof that you were the one that sat for the exam, can't a court affidavit serve?

Good day everyone, a friend needs help here is her story. In 2006 i registered for WAEC GCE, but the result was not good but i passed mathematics. in 2012 i registered for another waec GCE i passed most subjects except mathematics and since then i have been combining the 2 results, i used it to secure admission into the polytechnic, i graduated with distinction which allowed me to cross to a university with Direct entry, i also graduated from the university with a first class. recently i got admission for my msc, initially, i have been using my result printout, but this time i was asked to bring my certificate, i went to waec office to collect my certificate but when i got there i discovered that it was a male picture that was stapled to my certificate while i am a female, this is for the exam that i did in 2006 that i was using only mathematics from. i was asked to bring my photo card as prove that i was the one that sat for the exam but i lost it with most of my documents long time ago when i was robbed. the only thing i remembered was that when we were writing the exam that year some of us were told to bring another passport because the one on our photo card and photo album was not clear which i did. i told them at waec office but they told me that there is nothing they can do about it except if i can provide the photocard. i was shown the photo album that was with waec it was the same male picture that is on it.

i am very sad and confused right not knowing how to proceed. i can't continue my education and i can't even get a job because of fear that my waec certificate will be asked for. its like years of struggling and hustling to study thrown out of the window.

is there any way out? will it be useful if i register for another waec after graduating from the university? will i be able to use it?
