Reminder: September to November will be hot in forex 🔥 This period is always volatile, and 2025 won’t be different. Here’s why: Liquidity is back – summer holidays are over, big banks & funds are back in the market. Central banks everywhere – Fed, ECB, BoE, BoJ, RBA, BoC… all have meetings lined up. Expect surprises on rates and policy tone. Positioning & year-end flows – institutions adjust portfolios ahead of Q4 and year-end, which means big moves on major pairs. Geopolitics & trade tensions – U.S., EU, and global politics will keep adding uncertainty. What this means for traders: Expect sharper moves, faster reversals, and fakeouts. Manage risk tighter than usual. Don’t chase the noise — wait for confirmation. Safe havens (USD, JPY, CHF) could see sudden inflows. Bottom line: Sept–Nov is opportunity season, but only if you respect risk. 👍 |
When you’re on the journey of refining or building your edge/strategy, if you feel ready to take on a big challenge, don’t do it yet. Instead, double your current challenge. For example, if you’re trading with 2k naira and feel ready for 100k, try working with 4k instead. If you perform well, double again. When you reach the point where nothing feels impossible, then take the big step. In the forex journey, there’s an awakening and a reawakening phase. After the awakening, you’ll feel like you’ve arrived, but soon reality humbles you, and doubt sets in. Many traders even start to think forex isn’t for them. If you can push through this phase and keep working and growing, in time you’ll experience the reawakening. Often, this happens in stages. As long as you don’t give up, and as long as you remain “delusionally” convinced you’ll make it, you actually will.

Happy Sunday and new week, everyone! Just a quick piece of advice: Trade with caution this August. Focus on protecting your capital. If you don’t have one yet, consider entering giveaways or investing in a funded account. September to November tends to be more volatile, this is because traders return from vacation, liquidity picks up, and major economic and political events unfold. That means more opportunities, but also more risk. Stay sharp and be prepared. |
We should learn to stop checking the charts too often. The more we stare, the more our mind creates setups that don’t exist...like a mirage. It looks real… until SL hits or we deep in DD. Then eye go clear, but the damage is done. Less screen time = fewer illusions. Patience > FOMO. Don’t trade illusions. |
BTCproMax:You're not alone. One solution that helps me is I did lots of backtests to note levels I could easily hit TPs, and possible levels to exit early. So when I see candle formation on an early exit level e.g previous high/low level getting wicked on M30 and above TF, I exit trade.. So do several backtest to gain some trust in your edge/strategy. But note still that nothing is guaranteed, that's why proper risk management is needed along with whatever strategy you use. Cheers. #BackFromNLJail |
In all we do, let's please prioritize capital preservation and limit risk for now, at least until the market becomes clearer. Don’t let the fear of missing out push you into risky trades. During times like this, strong psychology is what keeps us going. It would be a shame if, by the time Gold finally starts trending, you no longer have an account to trade with. For those trading both prop and personal accounts, now is the time to reduce your risk. Capital preservation is key. Stay disciplined. |
Profitfx:If you’re looking for prop trading firms with straightforward rules, consider FTMO and The5ers. You can start with The5ers, as their 5k account costs only $39. I haven’t received payments from these firms yet, as I’m still working toward passing their evaluations and reaching the funded stage. That will change soon. Visit their websites and review their FAQs. If anything is unclear, use their live chat, they respond quickly. Focus on mastering these firms’ challenges before exploring others. Ensure you’re prepared for this. If you’re uncertain, try FTMO’s free trial account first. |
Weekend Tip for Traders 📌 The market is closed, but your growth shouldn't be. Use this weekend wisely: - Review your trades from the week (what worked, what didn’t)? - Backtest your strategy, see how it performs over time, not just in the moment. - Refine your risk management, were you risking too much or too little? Make adjustments. Remember: Profitable trading isn’t just about winning trades, it’s about learning from every trade. Until you achieve that big goal, continue treating your weekend as your lab, not your vacation. Growth is in the process. Happy Weekend! |
Every trade is like a mystery box 📦 You don't know whats inside until you open it. Trying to predict the outcome of a trade that contains infinite possibilities is a total waste of time. The professionals knows this and that's why they focus more on risk control.

The Iran-Israel conflict likely increases gold prices due to safe-haven demand. Gold (XAUUSD) may stay above $3,400 on Monday, June 16, 2025, with potential to reach $3,500. Volatility is expected, so traders should prepare for price swings. Current Situation The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel has escalated, with recent airstrikes and missile exchanges heightening geopolitical tensions. This has driven investors to gold as a safe-haven asset, pushing prices to record highs near $3,423 per ounce as of June 13, 2025. Impact on Gold Research suggests that such conflicts typically boost gold prices, as seen with recent surges. The evidence leans toward continued upward pressure on XAUUSD, especially if the conflict worsens over the weekend, potentially testing $3,500 on Monday. Trading Considerations Forex traders should expect volatility and consider a "buy on dips" strategy, monitoring support at $3,400 and resistance at $3,450 and $3,500. Stay updated on developments for informed decisions. |
This coming week, don’t get stuck replaying what went wrong. The game isn’t over. Your next move can change everything...plan it with purpose. 💪

2pep:They're hustlers.. IMO, no really profitable trader would hold seminar to teach basics of forex trading or to teach you their strategy.. it's all ways for them to extort. You only see really notable profitable traders holding seminars about trading psychology or discipline/mindset. |
Donsheddy:I once tweaked and sold EAs 😔 They can do well in the first 2 to 3 months, then boom! Account blown! A guy in the US would send me EA and ask to tweak it, then sell the EA and set files. After I noticed this wasn't profitable in the long run, I had to stop.. cos it's pure wickedness to sell what won't work for long or what will harm someone. Most people could just deposit their life savings just to make some quick money.. I couldn't have that on my conscience.. |
Weekend Tip As a forex trader, aim to simplify your strategy until it's clear, clean, and easy to execute. When it’s time to trade, there should be no second-guessing! Your setup should speak for itself. Take time this weekend to practice, backtest, and refine your strategy until you know it like the back of your hand. Then move to forward testing on a demo or cent account. Simplicity brings clarity. Clarity brings confidence. Happy weekend and productive charting! |
blackman007:That's a fact 👌 Risk management is vital. |
Davigle:Forex can become gambling if approached recklessly ie no plan, no strategy, chasing emotion-driven trades. But when treated as a profession, with analysis, risk controls, discipline, and long-term focus, it’s not gambling, it’s speculation with informed decision-making. Until you find, perfect, master, and follow your edge diligently, everything else you do is just a gamble. |
infofirst:Well said boss. The message below is to everyone of us: In this Trump-influenced market, remember: stay calm when you take a trade, it's just one trade. If you lose, treat it as a normal business expense, not a personal failure. If fear of loss creeps in, reduce your risk. If price moves against you, trust your plan. One trade doesn’t define you. Keep your emotions balanced, trading is a business, and discipline is your edge. |
You can recover from bad trades. You can't recover from zero capital. Your money isn't just money. It's your ticket to the game. Don't let it expire.
|
The market is indeed a jungle...unpredictable and wild. But remember, within every chaotic movement and every challenging trade lies a hidden lesson. Embrace each loss not as a failure, but as a crucial stepping stone on your unique path to mastery. Keep analyzing, keep learning, and keep adapting. Your resilience is your greatest asset. Happy Weekend!

Happy weekend everyone!

Happy birthday boss infofirst! |
Discipline and consistency trump flashy wins every time. It's the last trading day of the week. Be cautious.

BTCproMax:From what I’ve seen, XAUUSD has been choppy (according to my way of trading). Sha, the market no go always be like this. Take am easy. I've been on the sidelines waiting for a high probability setup. Experience don teach me to wait during period like these. But there are others that thrive in these markets. All in all, know your edge and follow it righteously. |
