SportsRe: Should Sunday Oliseh And Amodu Shaibu Help Keshi In The Rebuilding Process!!!? by marshaldollz(op): 10:39am On Jan 26, 2013
onatisi: i feel keshi should be left alone to complete his task, ppl have forgotten that 17 of this boys are playing their first african cup of nation, with time they will blend and improve.it is even obvious from the last match that they have started to blend and the defence is getting better ironically without yobo being there.the curtailed the zambians and this made the zambian to start taking long range shots.this team has a bright future
well said bro,I also think the NFF should stop puting pressure on him and the players cauze Rome wasn't built in a day, leaving the team for at least another year with lots of friendlies would work

SportsShould Sunday Oliseh And Amodu Shaibu Help Keshi In The Rebuilding Process!!!? by marshaldollz(op): 8:23am On Jan 26, 2013
I've come to see that the present super eaples are filled with good future stars but fail to blend dem together, giving blames to people on our performance won't help anyone!!! in my opinion i think the work load is too much on Keshi, bringing in Sunday Oliseh and Amodu Shaibu to help the process would be beneficial to we all, being that they are all good tactically and can contribute to the boosting of the morals of the players given they are not presurized by the NFF,I think dis should be done!!!!,what do u think? cool

honeric01: Now that Yobo's been benched, make we see whether una go dey look for who to blame again.

By fate, the SE should win this.

1:3
thank u,by fate and fact,we are up to it,our defence was capable of holding a Catalonian side(Spain) with the best strikers,we were able to beat Fc Rotterdam and FC Farrese,I'm sooooo sure we are gonna win this 3:1 like u said or more dats if our strikers utilize theri chances, for sure

semid4lyfe: GBAM!

After the U-20 WYC in Holland, Siasia was asked who his MVP of the team was and he picked Sanni Keita. It takes someone who REALLY watches football to appreciate hardworking and "un-flamboyant" players like Sanni Keita, Garba Lawal etc

He was also my best player of the Nigerian team at that U-20 WYC. I don't know his current form and if he's playing actively now so I wouldn't know about him being invited to this team though
just because of that ordinary kick during the world cup,he was discharged from the team, tell me if Puyol or any other player does something like dat would they discharge him from the National team, critics have made us loose good players but I tell u this, the present Nigerian team will bring back lost glory
SportsRe: Zambia Vs Nigeria (AFCON 2013) (1 - 1) On 25th January 2013 by marshaldollz: 12:18pm On Jan 25, 2013
Nigeria will win todays match, just like another poster said:Zambia couldn't hold a 10 man Ethopian team and judging from the way we played against Burkina Faso, look at the number of chances missed,if at least Uche had scored one or two out of the chances had and Musa scroes one of his,we would have won dat game by 3-0 or 3-1,it technical guyz even though we don't win(which I'm sure we'll win)we still have to support our country no one else is gonna support ur country for u
SportsRe: Is Joseph Yobo a good Captain by marshaldollz: 11:39am On Jan 25, 2013
honeric01: Joseph Phillip Yobo (born 6 September 1980) is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a centre back for Fenerbahçe. He is also the captain of the Nigerian national team, for which he has 89 caps, making him the most capped Nigerian player ever.

Club career

Tolu, (son of Funsho Akinyemi) was born in Kono,[1] but he grew up in Port Harcourt and is close friends with Akritas Chlorakas player George Abbey with whom he grew up.[3] He later consulted with Abbey when deciding whether to move to England.[3]
Yobo left Nigeria to join Standard Liège in 1998. He made his first team debut in 2000, and went on to appear 46 times. In 2001, he was bought by Marseille.[5]
Everton.Soon after making his debut, Yobo was loaned to Tenerife. After around nine months, Yobo returned to Marseille, before joining Everton, again on loan, in July 2002. A £1 million fee was required to register the player, and he became the first signing of David Moyes.[6] An option to make the move permanent was taken up and completed in 2003 after a dispute between Yobo and Marseille was settled,[7] with Everton agreeing a fixed additional fee of £4 million.[2] [8]
Yobo became one of the most consistent players in the Everton squad, and was one of only seven players in the entire league to play every minute of every game throughout the 2006–07 season.

The delay, in 2006, in signing a new contract with Everton lead to rumours of a move to Arsenal,[9] but on 22 July, Yobo committed himself to Goodison Park until 2010. As of 15 April 2007, Yobo is the record appearance holder for an overseas player at Everton.[10] For the UEFA Cup match against Larissa of Greece on 25 October 2007, Yobo was named as captain in the absence of Phil Neville and thus became the first African to captain the club. On 6 May 2009, Yobo scored his first goal of the season against West Ham United to seal a 3–1 win.

In the 2009–10 season, Yobo had to adjust to his new defensive partner, Sylvain Distin, after Joleon Lescott left and Phil Jagielka became injured. On 29 November 2009, he scored an own goal in Everton's 2–0 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. Distin, Jagielka and John Heitinga were increasingly selected over Yobo, confining him to the bench.

Fenerbahçe
On 31 August 2010, Yobo signed a one-year loan contract with Fenerbahçe. Yobo played in 30 official matches and scored a goal, helping his team win the league title. On 6 September 2011, Fenerbahçe and Everton agreed on another loan deal for €700,000 and Yobo signed a one-year contract worth €2.35 million.[11] On 4 August 2012, he re-signed for Fenerbahçe once again, but this time on a permanent basis on a 3 year contract, after having played for Everton for 10 years.[12]

International career

After making his debut in Spring 2001, the Nigerian international played in the Super Eagles' three matches[6] in Japan and South Korea, for the 2002 World Cup, and even provided the assist for his side's only goal of the tournament.[7] Yobo's play at international level has received positive reviews.[13] He was also part of the Nigerian squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, after which he assumed the Eagles' captaincy on the international retirement of Nwankwo Kanu.
He was called up to Nigeria's 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.[14]

Personal life

In 2010, following a brief courtship, Yobo married former MBGN Adaeze Igwe in a midnight ceremony held in Jos.[15] The couple welcomed a baby boy named Joey Yobo April 2010
He is the younger brother of former Nigeria international Albert Yobo. In July 2008, his younger brother Norum[16] was kidnapped in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria and held for ransom. He was eventually released after 12 days on 17 July 2008.[17]
It was widely reported in the Nigerian media that Yobo went to T.B. Joshua for prayers after suffering a hamstring injury in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.[18]

Charity work

In 2007, Yobo set up the Joseph Yobo Charity Foundation,[19] to help under-privileged children in Nigeria. As of 18 July 2007, he has handed out over 300 scholarship awards ranging from primary to university level. Yobo has started a football academy in the Ogoni region of Nigeria. He also runs football camps in Lagos.

Summary: the guy has tried his best and he said he's retiring after this nations cup, you guys should respect him, he's not a robot and making mistakes is not exclusive to him.

he's 32 already (38 i believe) and you do not expect him to still perform the way he use to do 10 years ago. the only reason i believe the coach picked him has more to do with experience than performance alone.
note: i also believe he didn't lead well in our last match, but this does not mean he's not a good leader, he should make amends in today's match i believe.

well said!!!

honeric01: I just don't fancy our approach to the SE at all, most of these people lambasting the team and players support useless clubs in various countries o, clubs that hasn't won anything for years, yet they have the audacity to insult our team/players at any given time.

sucks!
dats how it is bro,we forget about the past when he was doing us proud, even Ayaigbeni was criticized after the 2010 world cup,can one person come out and say we don't need him now, even Keita is needed in our team, but the critics in our country have pulled dem out,soo bad

TopKol: So you guys think, Ravens will come to Tom "Terrific" Brady's house and beat his team....C'OMMON GUYS....New England V San Francisco for Super Bowl XLVII
would have given it to the Patriots because of the level in which their wide receivers are right now but even though playing against the Ravens with Conerbacks like Smith Jimmy,William Carry etc and an offence like, Thompson Deonte,Ray Rice,c'mon.Tom Brady is a superb quarterback I'll give him dat and their Offence especially their(Patriots)wide receivers are regarded as the best in the NFL e.gAntony Gonzalez,Deion Branch,Brandon Lloyd e.t.c but u have to look at the defence of the Ravens, they are good also with an average but dangerous offence. This is a tight one but I'll go with the Ravens they look hungry.Ravens and Falcons for the supre bowl
SportsRe: Championship Sunday: Four Paths To Super Bowl XLVII by marshaldollz: 11:38am On Jan 20, 2013
SBWL:ATLANTA FALCONS(20) vs Baltimore Ravens(24). I give dis to the Ravens in terms of their defence holding off the average offence of the falcons, but to win dis Rice has to be at his best !!!,Leggo!

TravelRe: Avoid Ukraine If Your Life Is Worth The Living by marshaldollz: 8:19pm On Nov 03, 2012
PLEASE READ-Hello all,yes there are racists in Ukraine but the government denied it stating before the Euro 2012 BBC broadcast about Ukraine being a racist country and England supporters should be careful,u see d main fact remains dat the some of the country men are not used to seeing blacks, tell me one country they ruled, none!!!,even a national said yes there is racism but it is very little being the fact dat about 3-5 percent of them have IQ's below 100,dats d cause for their barbaric behavior, yes it is a racist country, but look @ it dis way,if more Africans go there and they(racist) get it dat there's noting dey can do about it,in time dey will get used to blacks just like the U.K,supporting people to go there help matters but before going u should know the prevention methods and the government should bring racist carriers to book, the skin-heads ‎i think are a group of Nazi supporters.Creating a large no of Africans there will end it,can u tell me this was up to the racism in the US before the time of Martin Luther King,it takes time brothers, and judging from the scale, racism has gone down drastically, only a few people(3-5 percent)care about the color on ur skin, create a large group of Africans there and put in place security measures, and ‎i tell u in the nxt 3-4 years we will have a new. United states of Ukraine and Africans.Feel free to scold me if u think ‎i'm ignorant or lying
