THE JOB INTERVIEW It was a cold morning, i woke up from sleep feeling the bite of the cold, said the shortest of prayers, took a hot bath and brushed my teeth with such a high intensity that i never knew existed in me. I quickly rushed my breakfast of soaked garri with salt (wetin man go do nah, poverty nah bastard) and put on my black suit that has stood the test of time with my trekker’s sandals. I needed to reach my destination by 9 am, so I dashed out of the house by 7 am and set out on a two hour long journey with my Leggedz Benz(money no dey for transport). I was inspired by the fact that if my fellow human being can trek from the south to the north for President Buhari then a two hour trekking should be a piece of cake. Thanks to my ever reliable trekker’s sandals, I was able to reach my destination on time. I quickly removed my sandals and put on my shoes. On entering the company, I was so shocked at the multitude of people I saw vying for the same job position with me that I was almost discouraged. We were given numbers for the interview, mine was No.127. I was still wondering how the interviewers will be able to screen all of us when we were all told to go in a hall and wait. 30 minutes passed and not even one job applicant was called for an interview yet. In the course of waiting, some of the applicants lost their patience and started complaining among themselves and even cursed the company, some were just isolated on their own not wanting to talk with anybody. I got bored and decided to start a meaningful conversation with some of the guys and ladies around me. In the course of the conversation we argued with each other and shared our opinion on a subject matter relating to the job at hand. One hour later, a lady opened the hall and told us that the first stage of the test was over. We gave her the look of someone that is crazy. She smiled, introduced herself properly and explained to us that there were hidden cameras all over the hall. OMG! They have been watching us the whole time. She then told us that the criteria to pass the first stage was possessing the qualities of patience, tolerance, teamwork and good communication skills. There was a large murmur in the crowd coming especially from people who had complained or insulted the company and those who isolated themselves. Only 15 applicants out of the multitude were able to scale the first stage and Yours truly was among the lucky ones. SOURCE: www.martinezefra..com |

Sachet water popularly referred to as 'pure water' in Nigeria might seem to be the cheapest and safest alternative to consuming borehole water in times of emergency but the following will discourage you from buying it. 1. We are not really sure of the expiry date of the sachet water we are buying because it was not stated on it. You only see "two months after production" with no production date. Hence consumption is not safe. 2. The packaging of this sachet water is made of non-biodegradable synthetic polyethylene (polythene), which does not decay, decompose or corrode, and which when burnt, produces oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur which can harm man and the environment. 3. It causes land and air pollution . source: www.martinezefra..com |

EPISODE 1: THE BATTLE WITH LUCIFER I concluded my activities for the day and drifted off to sleep and as like every other night i was transported to Dreamland, a place located in the spiritual realm. Earth was a very bad place to stay so i mobilized some people in dreamland to follow me to fight Lucifer and his angels. We all prepared very well for the herculean task ahead of us and with a sizable number of people armed to the teeth and ready to give their lives for earth, we all marched to Hades to do battle with Lucifer and his angels so that we can liberate earth forever from evil. We marched into Hades, a trumpet was sounded and the war began in earnest. Fighting the angels of the devil was not a small task but we were determined to put an end to earth's suffering. I fought with so much dexterity that i didn't know existed in me and killed so many angels but on looking back i saw that there where so many casualties on both sides but i was determined to achieve my aim of defeating Lucifer, so i pushed on. I met Lucifer in an exclusive part of Hades torturing people, and he gave me that look of "how the hell did a human being get to this place". I told him, "Lucifer, Angel Michael was merciful to you back then but i am not going to show you any one, prepare to die, pick up your sword. So we with my blood drenched body, i engaged Lucifer in a deadly fight, we fought, clashed swords together, and after 30 minutes of heavy fighting i exploited Lucifer's weak point, got him down on the floor and was about to kill him when my roommate hit me hard on the body and shouted, "Francis !!! Wake up !!!There is a cockroach on your body. That how was how Lucifer escaped a second time. I started wondering if my roommate was an agent of Lucifer. Source : www.martinezefra..com |
My name is Francis, no, not me(the writer), HIM(Francis) !!!. The story i am about to tell you are my different adventures from my sojourn into dreamland. Take your devices, get some popcorn and lets get on with my adventures |
