People have told me this before, of not looking for a partner and then finding 1 with time, but I disagree. If you want a partner then you have to be deliberate about it. The issue with our generation (both men and women) is the fact that we all lack patience for some reason. It's a "I want it now-now" and instant gratification kind of mind set we suffer from. It's now rare to find people willing to continuously make efforts for their relationships to work, whether they are white or black, as well as straight or not straight. Everybody needs someone special in their lives and we ALL have to be more patient / accommodating with one another for our relationships to be built and sustained.
