I remembered one day when I was going from Lekki phase 1 to Ikeja. My car had some issues at that time so I went to Admiralty way just after AP filling station to join a private car that takes people to Oworoshoki. Fortunately for me, a Lexus gx460 2008 stopped and I quickly entered the front seat and other passengers joined behind. On our way, I saw the way the guy was driving wasn't comfortable for me most especially on Gerrard road and when he got to Osborne road and I saw it's thesame thing, I began to think in my mind how I will control this guys speed on third mainland bridge. In my mind, I was thinking that my life is in the hands of this guy and if he makes any mistake, his recklessness may also take my life.
So as soon as we got to the third mainland bridge and he started moving at a high speed, I immediately said to him; [i]Bro, slow down. The government have installed speed cameras at every 100 meters to monitor speed limits beyond 80km/hr and it would not be good for you to pay 50k to government when you can just avoid that and move below the speed limit after all Oworoshoki is just less than 5 minutes from here so why the rush[/i] This singular word I said made the guy slow down immediately and till we got to Oworoshoki, he was moving below 80km/hr. Also, I was also started gisting with him and the trip became smooth and interesting.
Sometimes, we passangers have a responsibility to control drivers at wheel because his actions can end your life and he may find a way to escape.
