When I on my Acer laptop I saw that it was showing operating system not found.i off and on my laptop,I checked the bios setting to see if there was any problem.what I saw was that my hard drive was showing none.why it was showing hard drive none it was that I tried to install software unfortunately Nepa took the light after some hours there was light,I on my laptop that was when I saw operating system not found.what should I do?

My question on my hp Compaq nc6120 is that whenever I plug a flash drive on my usb port.my laptop got freezed it had 4 usb port,I had tried using the flash drive on each of the ports as I had said earlier my laptop freeze and the flash drive is working I had tried the flash drive on a different laptop and it worked.my operating system is Ubuntu it was installed on my hard disk,I think may be the usb ports are corrupt.what do you think?
