TheManPregnant: Taxes will only guarantee you the right to live, school, work, do business, healthcare and have access to other social amenities in the region to live in. Voting will only be allowed in your state of origin.
We need to completely kill the type of ethnic propaganda that was spurn up during the last elections. The opportunity for irresponsible political actors and their surrogates to push us to the brink should be totally cut off.
A proposed ammendment to the electoral act and other areas of the constitution that concerns the right to vote to reflect this might just come up during the next national assembly. Inasmuch, I never wished for breakup of Nigeria. I found your proposal ridiculous. It is better you propose that Nigeria divides than saying people should go to their state of origin to vote while paying taxes where they reside. What's the pretence for? Be bold and say you want a breakup. |

No more free lunch, the days of manna are long gone. Taxes and votes are the points I made. It's ignorant to talk about taxes while ignoring voting I said in my comment. |

TheManPregnant: Hmmm...
Or better still, let there be a constitutional provision for people to only be eligible to vote in their state of origin. This will help to allay the fears of a take over by another ethnic group. Taxes nko? It is selfishness to take taxes from people and when it's time for politics, you remind them of their state of origin. If you don't want non indigenes to vote, you should also stop collecting taxes from them. |

Neddstark: He should not go into politics. Even if he makes alot of money in the South East, he should respect the natives who understand the people more to handle the politics of the region. Nigeria is not US or Uk Will he be paying taxes to Enugu government too? Ethnic bigotry has a special way of reducing intelligence. If anyone is paying taxes in a region where he resides, he should be involved in the electoral process. This is why education is important so people like you can know the constitution. But lack of education has given birth to many ethnic bigots who think only indigenes should participate in election |

How a one-year trip to Enugu became a permanent one for Adewale Alao, founder of Purple Krown College, Enugu
When he finished his higher education, Adewale Alao was posted to Enugu State in 1992 for his compulsory National Youth Service Corps scheme.
Based on the unsubstantiated stories he had heard about the Southeast, he had his qualms about the posting. Matters were not helped by the fact that many of his friends and associates who had been posted to the Southeast had used the influence of their relatives to change the posting from the Southeast to their preferred state. But somehow fate took him to Enugu State and he accepted his fate. Even his family members were not at ease when he left for the Southeast.
After his NYSC orientation, he was posted to College of Immaculate Conception (CIC) Enugu in 1992 for his primary assignment as a teacher. He taught mathematics and further mathematics to the students.
Months into his stay in Enugu, his first-hand experience in the Southeast was completely different from the stories he had heard before.
At the end of his service year in 1993 when the school offered him the chance to become a permanent teacher, he grabbed the opportunity with both hands and stayed back in Enugu, contrary to his thought that he would leave the Southeast after his NYSC.
A journey that he thought would last for one year soon changed course and became a long or permanent one, as he moved from one school to another, rising in the teaching profession, teaching at schools like University of Nigeria Secondary School, Holy Rosary College, Baptist High School, Uwani Secondary School, Pine Crest College, all in Enugu.
Having garnered much experience in secondary school education in Enugu, he saw a gap he could fill and decided to set up his school in Enugu. In 2007, that dream came to fruition as Wale Alao founded Purple Krown College (PKC), Enugu. His mission was to provide quality education to youths at a moderate fee.
The school has been growing in leaps and bounds. Just six years of its existence, Purple Krown College defeated Government College Abuja in 2013 to emerge champions of that year’s finals of the 2013 Shell/NNPC U-18 secondary school football competition which took place in Lagos State, thereby emerging as Nigeria’s representative at King of England’s Cup held in London that year.
Purple Krown College is located at 20/22 Osadebe Street Ogui New Layout, Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria has its vision as follows: “To give every student opportunity to discover their true self, develop the strength within (spiritually, physically, academically and socially), and be sharpened into a suitable instrument and productive in the world tomorrow.”

God1000: POS agents are charging N200 per N1000, that's too much I spent 8 hours to withdraw 15,000 naira. If I charge 200 per 1,000 naira, that means I will make 3,000 for the day. An income of 3,000 naira with stress is not too much pay. |

Business › Why POS Operators Are Charging High Fee? by MasterJayJay(op): 4:36pm On Mar 24, 2023 |
I went out yesterday to withdraw money from an ATM. I arrived at after 7am and stood in the line. The ATM was paying 5,000 only. If you want to collect another 5,000, you have to go behind and start all over again,
I didn't eat before going out that morning. The sun made the condition worse. I managed to withdraw 15,000 naira in total by 3:30pm.
If I am a POS operator, why would you expect me to charge you 200 for withdrawing 5,000 naira?
You are paying the price of the time spent on the queue(time is money), you are paying the price of stress, energy, etc. POS operators do not receive cash from CBN.
POS operators are not your enemies. The real enemy is Buhari. If he tells CBN to print more money, the problem will disappear. |
