A candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been an Associate Professor for a minimum of three (3) years. He/She must have ability to provide academic leadership. Candidates who have been Senior Lecturers for a minimum of six (6) years may be considered for appointment.

Recognised publications in Theatre Arts, Music or Visual Arts will be an added advantage. Candidate must also show commitment and a consistency in the field applied for.

Areas of Specialisation for Visual Arts: Ceramics, Jewellery and Metal Design, Textile, Graphics, Painting, Sculpture (with an emphasis in metal casting) and Art History.

Areas of Specialisation Textile: Textile production with an emphasis in weaving, Fabric design and Conceptual textile Art production.

A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in Phonetics and Phonology from a recognized University with at least Five (5) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals and ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum of three (3) years.

(iii) Lecturer I (English (Language), Literature)
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a doctorate degree in the respective field from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.
