Please take these steps to alter some files and then run the installation again.

1. Go to C:\Program Files\Ampps\www\JoomlaTraining.
2. Click on the Installation folder, then sql folder, then mysql folder
3. Locate joomla.sql inside the mysql folder and open it with a text editor.
4. Press ctrl h, it will pop out a tab, type engine=innodb in the find what section and type engine=myisam in the replace section and click on replace all, wait till it replaces d command and the save your document and close the notepad.
5. Restart your system.
6. Re-run the Joomla installation again.

Thanks I already installed joomla I'm at the welcome page now still learning abt the templates and how to add featured articles

After following the tutorials from scratch I got to the final install page and it takes like forever to install what could be wrong ....

Go back to your sch and lay complaints!

Explain things to them maybe they can give it back to you,

make sure you dont go alone, talk to some of your class mates who had the same issue as yours.

that assertion is wrong as I've been using my own dob to check details for my course mates and their stuff is popping up with same status as mine.

I don't know how that is possible but I just explained my own personal encounter

Besides this morning when I checked using the old DOB of 1991 which was incorrect the response I got was no records found so I dunno what u mean by that....

I don't have any issues again and that's my joy

Before u can log into the website you will be asked for your date of birth that's how I got to know

Initially when I frst checked I used 1990 which is the correct DOB but the response was no records found then I tried 1991 and my details popped up.

Then I sent that email and checked today using 1990

and I saw my details.....

I think the error has been corrected and uploaded to my details on the NYSC Senete list

Last week I sent a Mail to Sidmach tech explained the whole issue scanned my original birth certificate and attached it to the mail and then I forwarded the mail also to NYSC email as well. So I tried checking this morning using my correct DOB which is 1990 and viola I saw my names with " your record has been uploaded successful you can now register "

NOTE: for those who had similar issues should send a mail to Sidmach or NYSC attached the required documents maybe you might stand a chance!

I got to know about the error when I tried checking my name using 1990 which is my correct DOB
But the response was no records found and then I tried
1991 and I saw my name

I spoke to one of the NYSC call complaint agent on Saturday explained to him that my date of birth was wrong on the NYSC Senete list online and the response he gave me was that by default the DOB were generated from our WAEC results not from our sch.

he also told me that if I have the correct DOB on my WAEC results that I can correct it during registration.
But right now I dont, my WAEC carries 1991 instead of 1990

Now I actually had an error on the date of birth written on my WAEC results and obviously that was how it affected the corresponding DOB on NYSC Senete list

Although I have sworn an affidavit on that regards

So I heard of this WAEC verification pin that one could use to rectify this error ? I don't know if its possible

My thought is that it appears the error is not from my sch...so I don't think it's necessary to head back to my sch to correct this error...

There is no need, the same details u see on senate list is what u'll see in your school....except ur sch is not too far from where you say then u might just wanna go and check but really i dont think its important

U hav d correct jamb num but ur sch has not requested 4ur admission letter from jamb that's y u r seeing "no admission offered yet" u r very good to go. dat doesn't mean u av no record wit jamb. If u r going to b affected nysc wil cal ur attention to it thru status on nysc portal wen u check 4ur details. Each jamb num has bn confirmed frm jamb record by nysc b4 nysc put it on their portal, if u av any prob or they didn't c any info of u on Jamb record thru d jamb num u supplied, they wil tel u u can't register n contact ur institution. Matric not in use means its stil fresh n nobody has used it to register b4, "create a fresh acc" wil start on d 8th of sept n wil last til 9th of Oct. Dats nysc online reg. If u c jst "only" "matric num not in use, create fresh acc" on ur status while u r checking ur details on nysc portal diz means "u will b able to register" so congrats......

All those with Matric no not in use should not panic it means you are good to go.....just chill till registration begins
