www.osadebaomokaro. There is recent update that free night calls has been stopped by NCC, telecoms companies have been forced to comply to this adjustments owing to this. Globacom one of the foremost and affordable providers have complied already. At the moment, it charges 11k/s on-net calls from 12- 4:59 am on the usage of N30 before 12midnight as against 0k/s. MTN, at the moment still runs Free night calls, but on restricted tarrif plans/packages but may join fully soon, Not too sure of Etisalat and airtel for now, but it seems inevitable. Nigerians may need to adjust to this development. Many relationships and businesses thrive on this platform and it's closing up soon. I just hope NCC has Nigerians in mind else they should educate us on this development. |
I am Malala "I am Malala' that was the response that had Malala Yousafzai shot On 9 October 2012. A Taliban gunman shot Yousafzai as she rode home on a bus after taking an exam in Pakistan's Swat Valley. The masked gunman shouted "Which one of you is Malala? Speak up, otherwise I will shoot you all",and, on her being identified, shot at her. She was hit with one bullet, which went through her head, neck, and ended in her shoulder. Thank God she recovered. Hmm, how many of us will stand up to the truth in the face of a gun? How many of us will fight through till our desire for what is right is achieved and not killed. Malala did not give up on her struggle, as a Pakistani activist for female education, although a teenager, she fought her struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to Education, and at 17 she became the youngest ever to win a Nobel prize laureate. #Malala's story has much lessons to teach us seeing the trend embracing us as #Nigerians. Most of us have denied the truth in the face of guns. Guns not made with metal but pistols and riffles made with #Nairas, #Dollars, #pounds in their thousands and millions, swindled into our accounts. Rather than scaring the fear out of us, we have been robed in the courage of corruption and self gratification . Instead of taken the shots and giving us a shelter of hope, our answer have been- "we are not Malala". We have twisted what is #wrong and made it #alright deriving our equation from "Alter+Right= Alright" These continuous acts of denial and cheats have: #Chiboked our girls out of schools, Kicked #lights out of our bulbs, Chased #Water out of our taps, Kicked #Health out of our hospitals, Chased #Safety out of our roads, Kicked #Dignity out of Labour... Remember! There is no #DeleteButton in the future! The future of this great nation depends on every one of us, we can keep in the same track and suffer tomorrow or we can make the right choices. Take the bullets rather than the Bags else the bags will buy more bullets that will #BoKoHarram us out of our lands in the near future. God bless Nigeria. #Re'mindAfrica www.osadebaomokaro. @Omokarobright

Have you ever wondered why Joseph didn't negotiate when he was brought before pharaoh? Why did Joseph not use the occasion to bargain with the king- his freedom for pharaoh's request? Ordinarily, following his unjust imprisonment one would have expected Joseph to bring up the subject of his release but as much as he decided to be released, he didn't bring it up, instead his reply was: "It is not in me, God will give pharaoh an answer" (Gen 41:16) His first concern was not his own pay but God's glory and to provide solution, no wonder he did not stop at interpreting pharaoh's dream but providing solutions as an administrator. ... hmm this indicates that negotiation or gain shouldn't always be the first call, rather meeting the needs of people and efficient service delivery. The rewards Joseph got was mind blowing : the vizier of Egypt (prime minister) which is the second most influential person after pharaoh. Many of us have lost future contracts worth billions because we wanted few gains of thousands, others have lost wonderful husbands or wives because they wanted to instant gratification from boyfriends and female friends. So the next time you get a chance to do a Job, execute a project or be involved in a lifetime event don't be in a rush to negotiate your profit or make so much gain. Instead focus on the quality service delivery or meeting a desired need and like Joseph you could become the Vizier of the international projects, you could be rewarded with a much more...
