An APC leader just said it straight: Nigeria simply cannot handle real-time electronic transmission of election results right now. He pointed out major roadblocks like unreliable power, weak telecom networks (especially in rural areas), and the fact that INEC servers were hit over a million times in the last election—making instant transmission a hacker's dream. He warned that forcing this could lead to total chaos and even disenfranchise millions who still lack basic electricity or network. What do you think? Is he protecting the process or just resisting change? Drop your take below. Na serious matter be this! With President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu set to jet off to the UK for the first Nigerian state visit in 37 years (hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle from March 18-19, 2026), pan-Igbo self-determination activists under the Rising Sun Foundation are not keeping quiet. They are calling on the UK government to use this high-profile meeting to demand straight answers from Tinubu about the controversial 2021 'kidnapping' of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya. Kanu, who holds a British passport, was repatriated to Nigeria, tried on terrorism charges, and on November 20, 2025, sentenced to life imprisonment in Sokoto Prison. In a fresh statement signed by their leader, Dr. Maxwell Dede, the group says: For almost five years, the UK Foreign Office has been sending diplomatic notes to Nigeria seeking clarification on how a British citizen was abducted from Kenya – yet no satisfactory response! They slam the British government for allegedly abandoning one of its own due to "political convenience, economic interests, or historical hostility" toward the Biafran cause. The activists warn that silence or inaction only fuels suspicions of international complicity in the rendition. Their strong demands for the UK during Tinubu's visit: Full public explanation from Nigeria on why they've ignored repeated UK inquiries. Clarity on the legal/operational basis for snatching a British citizen abroad. If answers no dey, push for an independent public inquiry – including any possible UK involvement. They insist: This visit is a "clear and unavoidable test" for the UK to prove it wasn't complicit. "The world is watching. Justice demands answers!" This is heating up fast ahead of the March visit – especially with Kanu's recent appeal filed and other developments... What do you think, Nairaland? Should the UK press Tinubu hard on Nnamdi Kanu during this royal hosting, or is it just politics and diplomacy as usual? Will this change anything for IPOB/Biafra cause? Drop your raw opinions below – let's gist! 👇🔥 Read the full statement, or comment or voice record and all demands, background on Kanu's case, and latest updates here → https://wishifier.com/#post-1888 (All the breaking Naija news, entertainment, jobs, music, games & more on Wishifier – All Wish Granted!

Na wa o! Three full years after gunmen ambushed and killed four Nigerian Army personnel on a peacekeeping mission in Ashaka Aboh, Ndokwa East LGA, Delta State, the Department of State Services (DSS) has made a major move. The suspects – Ufuoma Sunday James and Lawrence Umuakpero Oboguayivwgue – were arrested based on solid intelligence. These same guys are also fingered in the gruesome beheading of Chief Okwudili Obi (aka Odumodu), the self-proclaimed ruler during that 2023 communal clash between Kwale and Asemoku communities. Back in February 2023, soldiers deployed to calm tensions were hit hard: four lost their lives, weapons carted away, and the whole area boiled with anger and fear. Sources say the ambush was allegedly led by one of the arrested men. Now, the DSS says the duo has confessed – not just to the soldiers' killings, but also to gun-running, kidnapping, and other violent crimes. They were quickly arraigned at a High Court in Kwale, and the judge ordered them remanded in correctional custody pending full trial. An insider from security circles called it "a major breakthrough in cold cases," proving that justice doesn't expire. "No crime against our security forces will go unpunished forever – this shows coordinated intelligence still works," the official added. This arrest is bringing some relief to communities that have lived with this shadow for years... What do you think? Is this the beginning of real justice for those fallen heroes and the beheaded chief, or do you suspect more big names are still out there? So because a serious candidate chooses not to jump into a disordered primary in a party that isn't his, he's not serious? Hmm you might be right, but the last time I checked, Peter Obi participated in the PDP primaries in 2022 and came a close third. He only moved to Labour Party when it was clear the old PDP structure wouldn't allow a new order. Now, his supporters are asking another party to give him their ticket directly because they bring millions of votes with them. That's not a lack of seriousness; that's political strategy and leverage. Or should he just keep jumping into primaries in parties controlled by the same old godfathers? Think am well or what do you think. maximaxi: |

Major cracks have emerged within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a powerful faction of supporters loyal to Peter Obi, popularly known as 'Obidients,' are mounting intense pressure to hand the party's 2027 presidential ticket directly to the former Anambra State governor. Let's Discuss: 1. Is the ADC strong enough to be Peter Obi's new vehicle, or will it collapse under the weight of these demands? 2. Does this mark the end of the Labour Party's relevance on the national stage? 3. Is this the beginning of a grand opposition coalition, or will it lead to further fragmentation? This is a developing political realignment. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS! 💬 |
Lol 🤣, remember no hate speech HgAkpobomeEr: |
Even I hate APC, they are just too evil for my liking. Dalohad: |
LoL 😂 so you prefer One party system, imagine if oduduwa existed tinubu or his generation or someone else would have done that since and converted it to a monarch system and rule for years to come and die there, just like Cameroon current president is doing which will lead to country stagnation and heavy corruption and oduduwas will happily have no choice but to live like that because of how history has shaped up to always follow our leaders no matter what, imagine a whole Nigeria with multiple tribes and his almost attempting this kinda evil, talkless of just his only tribesmen, it will be like taking candy from a baby, thank God for Nigeria that covers oduduwa from such calamity but then again this will happen One day because we always happily love been ruled by our leaders without thinking it through and that's our greatest weakness because any old timer can hyjack either bad or good and we will still support even if it leads to our doom, so for this particular evil I pray oduduwa never comes or else we will be doomed by regime hyjack on the long run. Major opposition figures including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and David Mark have issued a joint alarm, accusing President Tinubu’s government of weaponising state institutions to clamp down on rivals and edge Nigeria toward a one-party system — sparking nationwide outrage and protests. A significant educational policy clash is unfolding in Nigeria, sparking a nationwide conversation about the future of our national examinations. The House of Representatives has issued a decisive directive to the Federal Government to halt the West African Examinations Council's (WAEC) planned implementation of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). This move has thrust the nation's digital readiness into the spotlight. The legislature's position is based on a report from its Committee on Basic Education and Services, which conducted an investigation into the matter. The core of their argument is that a sudden, wholesale transition to CBT is premature and poses a severe risk to millions of students. Key concerns raised include: 1. Inadequate Infrastructure: Many schools across the country, particularly in rural areas, lack the reliable electricity, computer labs, and internet connectivity required for a seamless CBT experience. 2. Widespread Digital Illiteracy: A significant portion of both students and teachers are not sufficiently familiar with digital testing platforms, which could unfairly disadvantage students based on their geographical and socioeconomic background, not their academic ability. 3· Risk of Systemic Failure: The report warns of the potential for "technical glitches, network failures, and power outages" that could disrupt exams for thousands of students simultaneously, leading to "widespread failure and student depression." Proponents of the CBT model argue that it represents a necessary step into the 21st century, aligning Nigeria with global educational standards. They claim it can enhance efficiency in marking and result processing while reducing the incidence of exam malpractice. However, critics counter that you cannot build a 21st-century house on a 19th-century foundation. They argue that without a massive, prior investment in digital infrastructure and literacy, the policy would be a recipe for disaster, effectively punishing students for the system's own shortcomings. So, where does this leave us? This isn't just a policy debate; it's a fundamental question about fairness and progress in Nigerian education. I want to hear what people think. 1. Is the House of Representatives right to prioritize equitable access over technological advancement, or is this move holding Nigerian students back from global standards? 2. What should be the realistic timeline for such a transition? Should it be a mandatory switch, or an optional alternative to the paper-based test? 3. Beyond just stopping the plan, what concrete, actionable steps should the government take now to bridge the digital divide in our education system to make such innovations feasible in the future? What's your take on this? https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/835192-reps-ask-fg-to-suspend-waec-cbt-for-2026-wassce.html |
Punch reports Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum unveiled the Borno Plastic Factory, kicking off nationwide sales and exports to Chad and Cameroon. It's a PPP revival of Shettima-era project, producing chairs, tables, basins – creating hundreds of jobs and aiming for IGR independence from federal allocations. Full capacity now, with international orders already shipped. Big win for industrial revival in the Northeast – if Borno can export plastics, imagine the ripple for local economy post-insurgency. Smart move or too little too late? Will this inspire other states? |
As a man if you marry from my village there are things you need to be wary of and your wife committing adultery is one (the most important). If your wife commit adultery and you heard about it but did not care to do anything about it. My brother, your stomach would swell up and you would die. Sicknesses would attack your body, you wither and die abruptly without wasts of time. My ancestors (Ibegwu are very active here) kill anyone that is a victim of wife cheating. |
