Recently i wrote customer care aptitude test for globacom in abuja and three (3) days later was invited for an impromtu final interview in lagos. considering the distance an sms was sent on tuesday to be in lagos on thursday for the final interview which means one must be in lagos atleast wednesday so i got into action and read about the normal interview questions, browsed about glo, year they started and was sure i was going to impress the panel. i travelled for almost 13 hours via road to get to lagos and bear in mind i had little time to sought out probem with accomodation and even have to borrow so i can get the job only for me to get to lagos and met other candidates for same position and with a little prayer hoped to impress the panel only for the HR team to to ask all candidates in less than a minute, your name and how many languages u can speak. really? everyone was pissed! you invited us to lagos to ask how many languages we can speak? how unfair! well, after the interview began plans to travel back to our destination without globacom trying to atleast address the situation. one week later i found out that globacom invited few persons back to lagos for final interview with Adenuga. really? i ask myself, what was the selection criteria based on? companies now treat recruiters as trash and with no consideration to the welfare of people. am i pissed? yes! and i know a lot of persons can really relate to this. Its well with our soul and as i forge ahead i pray companies try to be considerate when it comes to the issue of recruitment and realize they are dealing with humans and not animals.
