I am a christian and will only emphasis my comment on churches.

In my opinion, I think churches and mosque should be paying taxes because they are more like limited liability entity these days and of course, what we witness and read about Nigerian Pastors everyday in the dailies is nothing to write home about.

The salient question is what do churches and mosques do with the money they collect from their members? What we witness and read about daily is for example, buying of cars for girlfriends and hiring dark glasses security agents all over the places.

Also, I think cost of governance must be shared by all including churches and mosques.

In addition, they should be audited by the relevant government agencies and mandated to pay 60% taxes into escrow account for good cause whenever there is any disaster in Nigeria.
