Sorry bro, i understand ur position. To be honest, regardless of what we say here on nairaland just to defend our own, some of us still have conscience. I felt really bad to the extent of crying reading the news of that recent bom blast where a lady was praying her father who is a victim survives. it's really bad that innocent citizens are the ones suffering the implications of cards played by our politicians.


It's bad to have chaos especially that of throwing bombs and shooting sporadically.

Sometimes i just wonder what to it looks like to live under fear of bomb blast or shootings that can take pple's lives at anytime.i think it's terrible. God help us

Fayose tells Ekiti APC lawmakers to stop acting like jesters, dismisses impeachment plot

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has advised All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the State House of Assembly to stop acting like jesters, saying; "The script being acted by the APC is a failed one because no one, no matter how highly placed will be allowed to test the will of Ekiti people."

The governor, who described the purported impeachment notice posted online by the APC lawmakers as "joke of the century" said; "The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly is Hon Dele Olugbemi and not Dr Adewale Omirin."

In a statement issued on Saturday by the his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; "Omirin is already in court, challenging his impeachment and common sense dictates that when you are challenging an action already taken in court, you have accepted the consequences of such action pending the determination of the suit you filed."

He said the APC lawmakers should stop advertising their ignorance and crudity in the market place by posting impeachment notice online.

"Since last year November, these so-called lawmakers abdicated their duties and ran to Lagos only for them to resurface on Wednesday, but they hurriedly ran away again.

"Now they are posting notice of impeachment signed on March 9, 2015 and Ekiti people are asking; was the motion for impeachment moved and adopted in Lagos or Osun State House of Assembly?

"Is impeachment of a governor done along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway inside a moving bus?

"Rather than going about advertising their ignorance and crudity, the APC lawmakers should wait for the court to adjudicate on the case they filed because even the President-Elect, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) will respect the rule of law when he assumes office," the governor said.

the only reason why the apc lawmakers are angry is because adewale omirin(former speaker)lost to pdp in his quest to become house of rep.member.they claimed change and they can't conceed defeat,I think the 16:0 will reapeat itself on april 11th if they don't change from their ways of witch hunting.tony adeniyi and his cabals have already lost in their bid to the upper house.

bro you really sound like you know much about fayose,but to be sincere with my people here(apc&pdp) I will tell you directly that apc were the cause of what's happening right now in ekiti,fayose only want to be a senator that was why he canvass vote for fayemi in 2010,so that they(apc)can give him the senatorial ticket.but they(apc) gave the ticket to ojudu instead of him.if to say tinubu make him senator then he wouldn't have contested in the governorship election last year,that would have make fayemi's second term an automatic one.nigeria politics is about interest,don't forget that this same fayose teamed up with apc in 2010 to chase segun oni away from the state house.

Infact sef, go up north. Tell me what did Buhari do to change the lifestyle up north? Yet he was one of northern leaders that was in Nigeria's politics for a long while. I've looked at his people and seen the amount of change he provided to them. I've heard him speak, not essays written for him but actually him opening his mouth to speak and I can deduct, Buhari is going to be a terrible terrible leader. You can quote me on that anyday. I'm being pessimistic for a reason. If it was someone new, someone without a long history in Nigerian politics like let's say Ribadu, I'll give him a benefit of a doubt.
