Lawyers under the aegis of accredited Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) have asked for the removal of the Registrar General, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Mahmoud Bello and its management team, as activities in the commission have been stalled for the past two months. One of the lawyers who spoke with The Nation reporter during the protest, Kenneth Osaze said the CAC has been making empty promises, stating that the Registra General must resign as services in the commission is getting worst. He said: “The Registrar General and his management team should resign since they cannot meet up with their promises. We have lost clients and revenue, yet there has not been any explanation from the CAC. There is practically nothing happening in the commission. Lawyers now lose clients; we now appear like fools in front of our clients. “On name search and availability, we have put in for this procedure for over two months now and it still has not come, In fact, someone fainted on queue waiting for name search. For six weeks we have been on the line and nothing is happening.” Reacting to the allegations, Bello said its cheap blackamil orchestrated by unseen hands bent on frustrating the Commission. He said no service had been paralysed for two months but only had hitches for two weeks. He said the reason for this is that the vendor the commission was using shut the commission’s system down making the system inaccessible, adding that it was shortly after getting part payment for work done. Bello said: “He did that because the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Mr. Olusegun Aganga brought in a new company to manage the software of the commission and now that the Commission is switching to a new software, we had an agreement with the old vendor that we will continue our contract with his company, but he still went ahead and shut down the system. “I gave him assurance, even wanting to go into written agreement with him, but he was not convinced. I assured him we will continue to do business, but he still went ahead and shut the system, stating that he cannot imagine someone else coming with a new software to take over his job. Luckily, CAC has a database which the new vendor used for installation; that is what has helped the commission. “I want to categorically state that there is no law stating that it is only lawyers that can register a company. For lawyers registering a company, it is an internal arrangement. The government has given the go ahead for any one to register his company without the help of a lawyer.” Bello said it was obvious that there were lots of unseen hands working against the management of the Commission. www.thenationonlineng.net/new/lawyers-urge-sack-of-cac-chief/ |
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) at the weekend, organised an International Trade Business under the theme, ‘’Taking Customers Trade Business to the Next Level”. The bank’s Deputy Managing Director, Segun Odusanya, said the forum was meant to connect and engage with customers and other stakeholders involved in international trade business. It also provides a platform for the bank to present and educate the bank’s customers on international trade business initiatives; particularly the Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) scheme currently being implemented by the Customs Service at Nigeria’s ports aimed at fast-tracking the clearance of cargo and reduce cost of imported items. “The forum is also meant to intimate customers about some of the initiatives we have put in place to support your individual and business aspirations. Our alignment with the customs service in organising this customers forum further enhances and solidifies our core values of Professionalism, Sustainability, Customer focus and Excellence as a financial institution,” he said. He listed some of the initiatives developed by the lender to boost international trade business for its customers. The initiatives include automation of entire international trade process, seamless integration with Central Bank of Nigeria electronic single window trade portal and prompt and effective initiation of transactions. These, he said, demonstrate just how much the bank values its customers and its eagerness to contribute positively towards the realisation of customers’ aspirations. He said FCMB is committed to assisting the government and other stakeholders in reducing challenges that hinder effective international trade business in Nigeria. The Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko Inde, said the banks and their customers involved in the business of International Trade constitute a major stakeholder in Customs Operations. He said financial institutions are strategically located at the heart of the Buy-Export-Import-Delivery-Chain. He explained that the Nigeria Customs Service took over the management of the Destination Inspection Scheme in December 2013, after over 30 years of the operation by some Service Providers. He said NCS has been responsible for processing and issuance of the Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) which replaced the former Risk Assessment Report (RAR). www.thenationonlineng.net/new/fcmb-educates-customers-on-intl-trade/ |
spotmataz: Pls Oga Mayorall i need your advise o. Is it good to buy those samsung galaxy clone phones to sell? They are quite cheap.Thank you.Depend on you sir. |
Mckandre: I don't know much about rottweilers. anyway before getting a pup, always make sure you have a look at the parents to avoid had I known. the physical appearance of the pure breed pup is kinda obvious, it has a ball shaped head, wide legs and a funny cute looking spaced eyes. the mutts might look like a rott as a pup but as it matures, twill start looking odd ie developing longer muzzle than a pure breed would ,having tiny head not so robust like that of pure breed, no fold or whatsoever on the face. Thanks boss. nice tips. Currently have 4 and half months old GSD. |

Ikonz: Paid and placed an order for one power bank from Mayorall Goods Nig. Enter.we sincerely apologise for late delivery. Please forgive us. |
oluomoadebayo: I think the rate at which he is growing is too fast for a 4 months old, reduce the amount of the food if you are feeding too much because its not healthy for dog to grow at a speedy rate. Keep him lean and healthy.ok sir. Will work on that. But looking at her legs, she's meant to be big reason I was not really bothered. Will reduce her food to 200g daily instead of formal 300g. what do you think sir? |
Great product you can trust |
sunayo: Oga himself, I will contact you through whatsapp. I've learnt aThanks. We will be expecting |
adewasco2k: I changed from the puppy royal canin feed because my dog was kinda suffering from down pasterns owing to his fast growth and that was because that puppy feed has a high protein content....the feed now which is royal canin for german shepherd has a lower protein and it aids digestions since GS have a sensitive digestive system, also its formulated well to give them strong bones. Thanks boss. |
MongoAkoni: With first meal I saw a little change in her, and then it was the matter of time, I rushed to the market and bought 6 puppy can and 2 8-KG crunchy puppy dry foods packs.can we see her photos. |
