The 1.5 - 2m naira spent on a traditional wedding can be used to do something better by the couple probably getting a plot of land somewhere or a car or even set up a business. It's our culture, I agree but there's something called civilization. Even the Americans who were red indians don't follow the old Indian method of marriage.
