1. Nani's question is hard to answer now because everyone is playing well. Calling Nani would mean less game time for Herrera, Mata, Valencia. It might also alter the way we approach games because of his defensive shyness. If we kept winning, I would advocate a slim squad. However, the temptation to recall him is enormous. 2. This is another difficult question. Our players are just returning from injuries. We need plenty matches to assess some players in comparison with others. E.g Blind vs Carrick. Fellaini vs Herrera. The coach might need a whole season to reach a conclusion.

2-man midfield. Blind and Fellaini
3-man midfield. Blind, Fellaini and Herrera.

I am not even sure why I am leaving out Carrick. I am picking Fellaini because of the need to maintain balance in terms of creativity and physicality.
