Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been denied bail by a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.

Justice John Tosho on Friday, ruled that Kanu was a threat to national security, and as such, his bail application would be denied.

The judge said there was a high possibility of Kanu committing the same offence and also jumping bail, owing to his dual citizenship.

Barely two days after suicide bombers hit Chibok community in Borno state, another suicide bomber has struck in Adamawa state.

According to reports, the suicide bomber attacked a market in Gombi area of Adamawa state.

Forensic audit of 81 government revenue generating agencies will be carried out by two audit firms following the decision of the National Economic Council (NEC) at its 65th meeting on Thursday, January 28 in Abuja.

The decision of the NEC was subject to the submission of the interim report by the ad hoc committee of NEC, presided over by by Adams Oshiomhole, governor of Edo state, to review the management of the Excess Crude Account and returns into the Federation Account.

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has ordered the dissolution of government boards and parastatals.

Bello, who issued the directive through his Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja, on Friday also ordered all political appointees, members of boards and parastatals to handover to the immediate most senior officers in their offices with immediate effect in their respective offices.
