ensued between both parties and resulted in fighting.
Philips and most of his men were killed. This killing is
what is referred to in some books as the Bini Massacre of
1897.


Expectedly, the British used this development as the
excuse for the conquest of Bini and its absorption into the
British empire. Oba Ovonramwen himself anticipated the
British reprisal and carried out human sacrifices to win the
support of the gods.

Despite this, however, the British invasion which lasted
from FEBRUARY 10-17 [1897] resulted in total victory for

of hiding, surrendered himself to the British, and was
given a trial in September, convicted and deported to
Calabar. He was to die there in 1914.

Last week it was reported that the deadly terrorist group Boko Haram launched fresh attacks on Nigerian soldiers [troops] in Borno and Yobe states, killing some and pilfering their equipment and supplies.


However, the families, friends and well-wishers of the deceased soldiers have taken twitter and Facebook to express their grief.

One of the deceased soldiers, Nnamdi Gordians was my friend and friend of others during our NYSC orientation camp at Ede, Osun State.

Job Title: Sales Associate
Responsibilities Organise and attends sales activations for customers in assigned territory. Assist customers in assigned territory with product ordering Generate new leads in the open market Submit sales reports weekly Deliver agreed sales quote monthly. Actively manage relationships with customers within your assigned territory. Ensuring that all customers receive excellent service through direct salesmanship, and prompt and courteous service. Handle returns/complaints courteously, effectively and in line with policy Verify all transactions to avoid discrepancies. Ensure the order worksheet is neatly collated and verified to avoid error in packing and delivery.
Qualification, Experience Graduate degree NYSC Minimum of 2 years sales experience in B2B and/or B2C environment (Cosmetic, fashion) Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working with others. Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skill: Excellent business report writing and presentation skills Customer service Strong written and oral communication proficiency Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
