Well, i talk out of experience. I participated in FAAN recruitment exercise till the interview stage. And i believe NIS emulated FAAN process. So, don't know if NIS own gonna be different, but i doubt it.

FAAN PFT was not for all positions. We DMOs were exempted...so nothing like dress code.

I wonder what the criteria is for shortlisting people. My neighbour that was shortlisted is in year 3 in school and uploaded jus d WAEC n I'd she wrote the test 2day for ASP II compas 08. Meanwhile I have friends with Bsc that were not even called. Who knows why? I wonder.

They've shorlisted before asking us to upload docs now. Means ur neighbour lied abt being a graduate wch there was no way NIS cld av confirmed before shortlisting. Ur neighbour jst blocked someone's chance of getting shortlisted.

Ehen does anyone know how many pple NIS hopes to recruit? Did anyone notice that Conpass 08 were few? In my state over 1500 shortlisted candidates 08 has 240. Hmmm...is this a sign??

I doubt there's a way to know how many pple NIS hopes to recruit...buh I think the number shld be up to 500 for each state based on the number of shorlisted candidates.

Yea, I took time to count the number of conpass 08 shortlisted in my state too and its very low...something arnd dat figure u mentioned, abi u're from my state nii (OGUN) ??

Lol. U shldnt count dat of maths as extra mins now since u weren't calculating anything.

I spent jst abt 7mins on my maths,even d logicals basically bcoz I'm used to all dis shl and gmat standards. wen u will not pay attention in maths classes nko...lol

FAAN cut-off I heard was 70percent,most Aptitude cut-off always 60percent,the overall cut-off would determine what cut-off mark they would fix...

70% bawo...I did FAAN too now and they stated categorically that cut-off was 50%. D thing is soo many pple passed and they had to start picking from d highest scores based on d number of slots allocated to each state vis-a-vis d federal character...but people with less than 50% were not considered at all, and some that got slight above 50%, say 57 or soo...might not have been considered because soo many pple scored well above dat score in dat state.

NIS hasn't released any criteria yet...so let's keep hoping and praying for favour.

I repeat d maths isn't something to worry much abt. U shld be more worried abt d current affairs...mine was outta dis world.

Maths...jst basic operation of addition, percentage, ratios and average.

English...more of verbal reasoning where u are asked to pick two statements that u consider to be true based on a given passage.

And the Logical part is jst for u to study d pattern of some given shapes and use ur LOGIC to determine wch shld come next.

For the current affairs...don't rely on the questions making waves here as the chance they'll be repeated is close to Zero.

A first class brain like you shld not have a problem with the questions. Goodluck again

Nothing special...jst basic maths operations.
Jst dat u have to get ur figures from charts and tables at the lowest time possible.
