Sir, its easy.....................only that he would have to sell it at loss.
He may recover his losses if he enter another good one at the lowest price or continue to jijo.
Another alternative is for him to sell 50% of it and leave the remaining 50%, add fund to it to be trading other stocks.
That's my own opinion anyway.

Loco, I added that he should sell and move on nah, that should be his school fees, looks like he bought to collect dividend.

Information is power, except you want to be a long termer, think you should be abreast of events in your stock and market generally.
Those posting updates, news and all those stuff are not that jobless you know............ if we cant appreciate them at least let's be reading, its fund that's involved here.
Anyway, never to worry much, vitafoam is a good stock, only that its illiquid and dont enjoy investors' positive sentiment as such.
It will move at its own pace at the right time.

The equity price of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc was adjusted today 10th February, 2020 for a dividend of N0.42 as recommended by the Company board of directors. The last close price was N5.45, while the Ex-div price is N5.03

** Let me add that if you bought purely for dividend, then there's no need holding the stock, you may sell with minimal loss and move to the next one...............this is purely my opinion.**

I hope its just an anomaly anyways

Guess it has to do with lots of stored up executed transactions within the last 10mins MM window or something.
Could also be a technical glitch.

It has made a mess of the usual January results expectation effect. Now you can imagine if the audited deviates massively from the un-audited!

Honestly! It made a mess of the market itself.
The painful thing is that retail investors will bear the brunt of the fallout between unaudited and audited.
Think that's one of the reasons people are still cautious of the market and also bidding lower.

It appears not all the companies have kept to the said new rules. GTB and Access have sonfar refused to release the unaudited results.

Yes. I even like it that way.
SEC can be insensitive some times, why taking the coys thru undue stress and raising hope unnecessarily?
Don't be surprised if we see differences in the unaudited and audited, cos some may just cook something up to meet up with the deadline.

I didn't see any 'huge' volume, I only observed investors taking caution by bidding lower instead.
Buyers not willing to buy high, sellers not willing to sell low........my bosses can help out with the terminology for that. Me I don't know.

Maybe it's only me, I've not really seen this as determining daily direction of market as some believe. Just my opinion.

Market opened on a normal low volume, no panic sell level.
Investors still cautious, market looking bright (though oga sellydion was of different opinion xtyday) ........but we're still observing the direction.....

See, no one will tell you when they buy until they finished buying........well, except me and very few here. ....Let me add in fairness that they can just give you the signal if you can grasp it.
The oga replied you already. That you should calculate dividend yield, then go for your choice stock.
The next kwesion I expect from you is how to calculate it, that's if you don't know it.
