Check Zenith bank volume from last year even way before dividend was announced. You will see a pattern. I don't hold a single unit of the bank though.
The pattern changed since last year......
I wasn't a fan before, but that changed since last year......one of the reasons Nsempas can see me shouting Zee since then........think I wasn't disappointed... smiley

I mentioned that time, that Zee will close the gap with GT but it was argued out, especially when Zee was still dilly-dallying @circa N16/17............
Let's keep watching if GT will increase the gap or Zee will close in the more.......

ZENITH: All roads leads to this stock today.......
Over N1.1B done so far ....and still counting......
Though deep pockets are sighted on offer table with offers far outweigh bids, yet positive sentiments with juicy Dividend keeps investors buying.......
Can the mountain @N27 be leveled? We wait and see....... grin

AFRIPRUD: Bargain hunters sighted on bid table.........with bids far outweigh offers.......

ACCESS/UBA/FBNH/GT/FIDELITY getting attentions too........Zenith giving investors hope on these ones...... smiley

In terms of Dividend, UBA will likely pay much more than ACCESS............in terms of sentiments, ACCESS carries higher mark here.......we watch as it unfolds.......

OANDO: Surprisingly, this stock is also getting quite a lot of attention since market opens.......

Doc I don't have Zenith oo.
I mentioned it to you here before nah.
Was in need of the fund, so I sold a long time ago.
My cost price was N11 that time.

What is efficient about GTB. It is actually one of the worst run bank in Nigeria.
I sometimes thought it's only me, the hype around that stock is too much.......
It's just investors sentiments that I saw at play........ lipsrsealed

It's just like the case of Stanbic too, trading higher than others in the sector and will sometimes still come up with lesser.Dividend......what are they doing differently from the likes of GT & Zee that makes the stock a premium one? grin

You have got to always review your position based on the results being churned out by a company. If the results are no longer consistent with what it was when you took a position, no crime if you exit the company to preserve your capital.
Oga Rebekah you're right ..........BUT one quarter's result is not enough to draw up such conclusion as far as I'm concerned.
AFRIPRUD still remains a consistent Dividend paying stock for now.......until...

As big as GTB is, if the coy performs below expectations, you'll see how it will be dealt with.....before stabilizing...

My ogas have always preached "Patience" in WAPCO.......from the time it was trading @ circa N9.
Na the ogas on top's recommended stock: OGG, Agba and CP.

The post made by PA EMMA on Wapco sealed it up for those who believed in the sage......He said, WAPCO and BUA should have a meeting point someday in the future.......not in his exact words Anyway. grin
Just adding this to my earlier post, that, it's for the patient ones with long term in mind...... grin

Just like Ucap where the profit takers & panic sellers are done, looks like we can say same for Afripud. Some form of normalcy will resume from tomorrow.
Exactly.
There are some stocks I can't even panic about ........even if it drops to half.
AFRIPRUD is a classic stock to me, was just negatively responded to due to expectations of higher dividend more than UCAP/drop from last fye own.
From tomorrow, I expect bargain hunters to start taking position. Afriprud can't remain down when Ucap is going up, it's the sector leader.
This is my opinion.

But this trashing in Afripud is brutal. Ontop 20k difference in dividend. It has already lost #1.35k.
This should give a clue to what will happen to coys that don't improve on previous dividend.
In fact, the thing don dey cause fear self.........with the way they started with these two.
Let's hope it doesn't continue this way, hence na to wait for Dividend announcement first o. grin

UCAP:. Bids increasing and moving gradually.......touched N6 earlier.........Guess the fixed income guys has also contributed to the shedding of prices........
AFRIPRUD: Some bargain hunters also picking at N5.95.........

MANSARD: Touched N1.06 earlier and bounced back......

Well, I'm not surprised at the development as I've seen it happen my times when the market negatively reacts to positive results. It is even better as UCAP price earlier went up as soon as the news of the dividend hit the market until yesterday. I have a strong feeling that some investors are moving their funds gradually from the equity market to the fixed income market as it is becoming attractive.
Another good perspective too.

I want to believe that those prices will still move up after some bashing..........at least before dividend payments.
I may also be wrong because Mr. Market has a mind of its own. Let's see how March will be, God willing.....

No more charts for Nsempa.......maybe it will return some day. grin

Please what do you think is the cause of the big fall in Wapco? Any hope in sight?
WAPCO is undergoing price correction in my opinion.
Also, theres lull in the market for now, so you can't expect Wapco to be moving in isolation.

**Also note that Wapco is an 'upcoming' stock, came out of the wood, on its recovery path and "promising" if they continue on the right track/ delivering per expectations.
The stock is also enjoying positive sentiments currently............ BUT, I think it went to over-priced region @N30 for the time being.

** Na my opinion be this ooo, I may be wrong. grin ........but if bull comes, Wapco will also ride with it**

for UCAP, i believe market participants have already priced its impressive performance in 2020 into the coy's share price, looking at how it increased from N3.75 to N6.05 in 4 months, hence for the share price of UCAP to stay comfortably above N6.5 and even test or breakthrough N7 then we need something extra, from the company in Q1 and Q2 2020 in terms of earnings during this period....

For Afriprud in my own perspective o, the company's case na major shock for investors, the shareholders i guess didn't expect AfriPrud to declare a dividend as low as 0.50k which the board declared.....
You're right!
Afriprud fell below investors's expectations........ especially with UCAP releasing result before them......Higher dividend than UCAP's was expected.......
I as a person wasn't expecting anything extra-ordinary from AFRIPRUD going by their Q3 performance, which was somehow flat............but just know they'll try as well........Afriprud will still bounce back, 2020 was a challenge for most coys.

As for UCAP, Q1 will do the coy a lot of good if there's improved result...........with this, the Stock might not visit below N5 again......all things being equal.

*** I think from tomorrow, whosoever is waiting for bargain in Afriprud .....and also want to take part in dividend should start buying***
**This is just my opinion, DD is adviced**

Did some findings too and got to know that Lasaco would be doing share reconstruction of one for every 4 held. No info on this in NSE corporate disclosure.

Unlike Mansard who gave bonus to take care of the reconstruction plan, there's no info on bonus issue or whatever on the part of Lasaco.
If Lasaco should get to 40kobo pre-reconstruction for instance, the post reconstruction price will be 4*40kobo = N1.60.

My concern is: How Mr. Market will handle this kind of price for insurance coy post reconstruction. Think there's need for caution here.
LASACO getting much bash.ing........
This concern was earlier raised too..........now it's happening...... sad
The timing was wrong, the process was not well thought out........a cushion effect should have followed the reconstruction immediately........
Hope MM/the Coy will come to shareholders' rescue here.......

AFRIPRUD and UCAP:
How did these stocks offend Mr. Market?
The one that declared fat bonus is chopping beating, the one that declared lesser also....... shocked
Na crime to declare dividend ni? grin
Anyway, think it has to do with the period these dividends came in........by the time the big ones started declaring theirs, investors will appreciate UCAP/AFRIPRUD's dividends......
My Opinion......if you're seated in the bus, stay put, collect your dividend and do siddon-look (for those who bought at higher price especially). If you have more funds, buy more at dip........Bull won't pass in front of these ones without doing obeisance..... tongue

UCAP is paying 70kobo dividend while Afripud will pay 50kobo. That's some reverse.
A kind of inter-changing....... grin

Anyway, AFRIPRUD tried in my opinion.
We shouldn't forget so easily the challenges faced by these coys in 2020, for two quarters...........reduced dividend shouldn't come as a surprise at all.

Remember some investors were not even expecting much in their quarterly results but the coys surprised us all.
Part of the effect is expected to be felt in 2020 FYE........ recession was there, inflation was/is there.........inconsistent govt policies are there, etc., ........So to me, Afriprud tried!

As for UCAP, the coy was able to surpass expectations partly due to the Oil & Gas ventured into by TNOG Group.

The 1M gang on offer table @ day's high, are they on mission?
Whatever it is, UCAP remains a good fundamental stock to have and always watch out for.......if it dips, it can only only present bargain entry .........
