Hello Visa Officer,

Thank you for your assistance. My husband is a citizen and would like to petiton for me and the kids. Was told that it might be difficult for him to petition for us since we both reside in Nigeria. I intend relocating with the kidz to the US for further studies. Please can you advise on us on options we have for the petition. Thank you .

Hello VO, please I have an enquiry. My husband is a US citizen by birth and we've been married for 2years plus with two kids. We both reside in Nigeria. My husband tried transferring his citizenship to one of the kids but was denied because he has not been in the US consecutively for 5years, he has only been in the US for about 2years. So he is planning on petitioning for all of us. Was wondering if his non residence in the US will affect his petition? Since there is a part in the form where address of residence in the US is required. Also how can we make payment for the application from Nigeria. Thank you.

Hello VO,

I have some questions for you. My husband is a US citizen and we reside in Nigeria. He tried to transfer his citizenship to our daughter but was denied because he has not stayed in the US for 5 years, so he should petition. He is planning to petition for all of us, but is residency in the US mandatory? Because in the form they asked for your residency address in the US.

How can we pay for the application?
