ow high you were. So as I was saying, once I gave a talk at UCLA, and I was sitting meditating, it was many years ago. And there was a large crowd there who had come to meditate with Rama. And I’m noted for colors and white lights, special effects. And there is just a tremendous amount of visible light around me when I meditate. So I got a kick out of it cause I was mingling with the crowd afterward. I did the meditation, I gave a talk on Enlightenment and Buddhism and then afterwards everyone was walking out. And sometimes I like to walk with the crowd, I just like to just be part of it, not necessarily be stand offish and go hide behind the curtain or anything. Sometimes I like to be stand offish. But, on that particular day, I felt like walking with the crowd and just walking around. So I ended up walking behind two women. And they were having a conversation. And it was interesting. Because they were talking what they had seen. And one of the women said to the other, “Oh, did you notice when he was surrounded by red light.” And she said, “I saw the red light, I saw the red light.” Then the other one said, “Oh, yes, then there was the gold light and then he just disappeared for a while. I couldn’t see anything, the room went gold.” She said, “Oh, Yea, I saw that. Did you see when everything went into reverse, everything kind of solarized.” And she said, “ Oh, Yea, I saw that.” And they chatted back and forth about what they had seen. And after they had this conversation, said, “Well, what are we going to do tomorrow night? Tomorrow night, let’s go to the opera.” And I was listened them converse and it was interesting because they were so high, they had no idea what they were saying. |
I am thinking about something much more important than bombs. I am thinking about computers |
Problems are often stated in vague terms... because it is quite uncertain what the problems really are. |
There probably is a God. Many things are easier to explain if there is than if there isn't. |
The sciences do not try to explain, they hardly even try to interpret, they mainly make models. By a model is meant a mathematical construct which, with the addition of certain verbal interpretations, describes observed phenomena. The justification of such a mathematical construct is solely and precisely that it is expected to work-that is, correctly to describe phenomena from a reasonably wide area. |
All stable processes we shall predict. All unstable processes we shall control. |
You insist that there is something a machine cannot do. If you tell me precisely what it is a machine cannot do, then I can always make a machine which will do just that. |
“So by not thinking about a problem, and meditating on emptiness instead, you fill your mind with more energy,” he continued. “This additional psychic energy will then enable your conscious mind to call on or activate the higher nodal points in your second attention. After meditating, without knowing or understanding how your mind has managed it, the answer to the problem you are trying to solve will just come to you. That is all there is to it.” |
‘The Oracle is right,” Master Fwap said with complete conviction. “You are trying too hard to understand, and therefore you are blocking your ability to understand. Don’t ask any more questions for a few minutes. Just sit back and relax, and let my explanation become your understanding.” |
“The only difficulty you are having with this is that you lack a clear understanding of what meditation truly is. When I say that you should meditate on a problem in order to solve it, I mean the opposite of what you think I mean.” “How’s that?” “Okay, relax your mind for a moment. Now instead of trying to grasp what I am saying, just let my words flow into your second attention. Don’t try to understand or analyze them, and perhaps you will comprehend my explanation without my having to explain it to you.” “The reason you are having a problem underst |
“In reality, there are an infinite number of nodal points of perception hidden within your second attention. In and through the practice of meditation, you can learn about and experience many or all of these nodal points. When you are very skillful in yoga, you can even consciously change nodal points at will, selecting the proper nodal point for whatever life situation or problem you currently need to deal with or solve |
“A nodal point of perception is the view that you have of life at any given moment in time and space. If you were able to see into your second attention, as the Oracle and I can, you would see that you actually have countless nodal points within your nonphysical mind, deep within your second attention’s perceptual field. “Most people have access to only one or two of these nodal points of perception,” he continued. “Persons whom most people refer to as geniuses have access to perhaps a half dozen or so of their nodal points of perception. |
Sure. Let us use mathematics to understand this. Suppose you are trying to solve an equation, and no matter how many times you factor it, you can’t get your equation to balance properly. Now, the average person will simply become frustrated. They will find fault with themselves or the equation and either give up in anger or depression. If they are headstrong, they will just keep mentally pounding away at the equation, angrily looking for a proper solution to it. “The chances that they will solve a difficult equation this way are minimal,” he explained. “They may factor and refactor the equation over and over again, but if they don’t find a different angle to view the equation from, they will only be bringing the same mind-set back to the equation again and again. If their previous mind-set wasn’t able to factor the equation initially, why would it be able to later? |
Young man, in mathematics you don't understand things. You just get used to them. |
If people do not believe that mathematics is simple, it is only because they do not realize how complicated life is. |
Hence the constant struggle of every vendor to establish and emphasize special qualities of product or service. This works with candy bars (customers buy by brand name, not by asking for a "rwo-ounce candy bar") but doesn't work with sugar (how often do you hear, 'Til have a cup of coffee with cream and C & H sugar, please"). |

OṂ ĀḤ HŪṂ At this time when we dwell within the intermediate state of living, The assembly of the sixty blood-drinking deities28 Is radiantly present within the celestial palace of the skull, at the crown-centre, within one’s brain — Embodied in the form of a cluster of five-coloured lights. Yet, as soon as we die and begin to transmigrate, This assembly of blood-drinking deities will emerge from the brain, And appear [before us], filling the entire trichiliocosm. [Each of] the central and peripheral [forms] Will be endowed with fearsome ornaments and attire. [Resounding] within an immense space, Vibrant with sounds, lights and rays, The bodily demeanour of these wrathful deities Will be elegant, heroic and terrifying, Their roar wild, murderous and awesome,Each blazing with compassion, wrath and fierce aversion, Adorned by face markings of human ash, blood, and grease;29 Dressed in skirts of moist hide and flayed tiger skin; Decorated with skull garlands and wreaths of snakes; Resplendent in a blazing mass of fire which pounds With the cries of ‘HA HA HŪṂ PHAṬ Strike! Slay!’, Reverberating like a thousand peals of thunder. Fully arrayed with hand-emblems and multifarious faces, Displaying the arts of transformation, They will pulverise and rock the infinite trichiliocosm. At that very moment when the fierce sounds, lights and rays Dawn before us in terrifying manifestation, O you, the compassionate assembly of wrathful blood-drinking deities, O Beings of Compassion, do not withhold your compassion at that [time]! As we roam [alone] in cyclic existence [driven] by deep-seated habitual tendencies, May the assembly of wrathful blood-drinking [deities] draw us forward, Leading us on the path of [radiant] light, Which is free of fear and terrifying perceptions! May the assembly of wrathful female deities, Queens of the Expanse, support us from behind! May the assembly of the Mātaraḥ, Piśācῑ, and Female Gatekeepers support us from the perimeter! May the Eight Great Projectresses [who propel beings to exalted rebirths], Propel us from our [mundane] states [into higher rebirth]! May the diverse animal-headed Iśvarῑ eliminate all obstacles! May the four supreme Female Gatekeepers obstruct the entrance to [mundane] births; And thus [encircled], may we be rescued From the fearsome passageway of the intermediate state, And be escorted to the level of an utterly perfected buddha. |
