By the way please continue puting the complete info about the deal the way you're puting them to avoid the problem that do occur here once in a while whereby end users put total blame on deal hunters when items arrive in Nigeria and its not as described.

We Nigerians(Most) are very dishonest. The other day, someone wanted me to do a pickup of 150k but making a deposit of 30k. the other one wanted $520 item picked up without upfront payment with some bullshit stories. When you accept a part payment, they go into hiding and on the day of pickup, they show up asking for their bills tying someone money down for 2 weeks.

Some here gave me a fake alert just for him to do pickup and deleted the message again. Even right now, i have peeps owing up to 300k combined due to "trust" of "I have exceeded my daily transfer limit for the day, I will send the rest tomorrow stories. If I open a thread complaining how people are owing me money, I am sure you will be among that will lash me with words. I have created relationship on whatsapp with people. I know the peeps without without payment from them, I can pick for them and they will sure pay me within 24hrs.

Now generally speaking, we have mikky, omotolsy , daaz and two pickers from chicago. If I am not accepting part payment, they can approach who they think they can accept part payment and will still be good for their business.. If I charge people like mikky, omotosly and clone with their pickup fee rate, then i can accept part payment but right now, I can't

This thing is simple in such a way that if you don't have money to pay for the item you come across, just drop it as a deal on the thread and collect like $10 commission fee for your work. Anyone interested can then get the details of the seller from you and give lionlee to pickup.... No be all deals you must buy personally since you no get money.

The way I see it, LionLee is trying to get justice from the lady without minding the financial cost because he felt he was ripped off. So it's not about the letting go of $50

On the other hand, owoboi is concerned about his integrity to his customers. I believe if you give them their money back you won't loose your integrity, it's when there's no refund to pay them back the issue of integrity comes in play.

On lionlee part, I think it's best you start trusting people less and communicate more with people during pickup and tell them of anything you noticed before making payments. If you had told owoboi about the phonelock issue before making payments, this wouldn't have happened. You trust easily and it's your trust in the Nigerian couples over there that caused this.

Last last, I know owoboi might have not done a comprehensive paid check too because if he has, this wouldn't have happened too. But we are all learning everyday. Moreover you can't collect your phone forcefully from IBL or do anything to him as he is only a logistic company and he'll do only what the sender of a goods instruct him to do. There's no receipt here or any legal documents to bring the law in to claim the phone is yours apart from a few whatsapp chat and mobile transfer. So you have to calm down too and stop behaving as if you're been bullied

Everything that just happened is just a case of miscommunication between someone that wants justice for been ripped off and another that is concerned about his business and profit

The case is already with the police and if they insist Sam should return it and get a refund, he doesn't have a choice than to return it. Let's try and understand with Sam too as he's one of us in another country rendering a service to us and we wouldn't be happy if he starts having police issues over there.

Ope should understand that using offerup from Nigeria is itself a criminal offence and if the US police starts investigation, there's no way it won't lead to them finding out everything and it's our guy Sam that will be in trouble. And ope claiming ownership just because he made online payment to Sam isn't valid in the court of law as there's no receipt or any legal documents to backup your claims. It's Sam that had physical exchange with the seller and bought the goods thst is the assumed owner. As long as you'll get your full money back, I see no reason why you should be flaring up.

There are always better deals to come on especially now that Christmas is coming as there will be sales. Moreover ope should stop talking about loosing integrity from his customers since he also threatened Sam to bring up the case to his thread for the purpose of bringing him down too which he did
