Group appointment is not available For Nigerians but Family appointment is available .

In your situation you will have to book your own appointment first because you are applying for F1 while the accompanying family are applying for F2.

After getting a date then you can applying for the remaining family together by clicking NEW in your same AVITS profile.

You and your dependents are qualified for expedite appointment. You will apply for your own individually, while your family will apply together. 👍

I will have to apply for expedite appointment. Does applying for myself alone covers for all of us or do I have to apply separately for each member in the family?

Pls when applying for visa for dependents, do I wait till mine is approved before apply for them even though our plan it to travel together?

I learnt that group visa appointment is not available in Nigeria, meaning I have to book separately for my self and each dependent

If I'm not able to find an earlier date and decided to apply for emergency visa, would I need to apply for my dependents too?

It happens when your login is too frequent in a day.
It happened to me and I just stopped trying to login. I think it took like 12hrs for me to regain access

Go and check the appointment website and book. Lagos is available but Abuja is not available yet. It might come online soon.

I applied for a J1 visa and my program starts on August 18 2025. I scheduled an appointment for myself and family for March 2026 but I'm hoping I'll find an earlier date. I also intend to apply for an expedited visa if I'm not able to find an earlier date but I'm not sure if the emergency application can also apply to my dependents. Pls advice.

I would advise you to go to their office physically, that's the only way they would give your case priority. And don't forget to go with cash.

Do you mean police station or NIMC office?

I did mine without BVN. I did it with NIN and and Passport number.

The information on your international passport contains your NIN, while the information on PCC contains your passport number.. So you only need BVN to do your NIN but not PCC. As long as the information on your NIN is what you want it to be, you are good to go on your PCC

The problem is the NIN. I did a change of name on it. Its yet to reflect on possap

PCC and passport share data and as such the information on both must tally. BVN is the odd one out

But its not possible to use passport right, its either NIN or BVN.

Pls those that did a change of name on their NIN, how long did it take it to change on the POSSAP portal. I have an account with POSSAP but did a change of name on NIN 2 weeks ago and its yet to reflect on POSSAP. I called their customer service and they said my name hasn't changed even though I've used it for immigration, and bvn. I really don't know what to do

I have a different surname on my bvn and my passport due to a recent change of name.I tried applying for a PCC online but it keeps bringing the information on my bvn. I want the certificate to carry the name of my passport.
I went for a change of name on my bvn but its yet to be effected.
Will my PCC have the name I'm seeing now or the one on my passport if I go ahead with the payment without waiting for it to change on my bvn?
