IslamRe: Why Are Black Africans Moslems Considered Inferior By The Arabs Moslems by member3(m): 6:42pm On Jun 25, 2011
Bilal ibn Rabah of course he was black I am sure it is well known. Also at the time Yemen was part of the Abbisinian kingdom and that kingdom is present day horn of africa especially Ancient Ethiopia and Eritrea.
this is not what was said. No doubt about his skin complexion but the misnomer of him, suhaib, or khabaab being non-arabs is slander on the companions of the prophet.

You would have heard about Bilal ibn Rabah or Bilal al-Habeshi , a black emanticipated slave of Umayyah ibn Khalaf who came from Ethiopia and accepted Islam through the teaching of Muhammed on equality and that no race, color etc in Islam and that all are equal but differs through piety.
bilal bin rabah was not from habasha or the african continent. he was an arab born in yemen and raised amongst hijazi arabs of bani jumah he is known also as ibn hamama.
siyar alam imam dhahabi

Lets leave the story of Bilal aside. We also learnt about another Slave from Rome called Suhayb bin Sinan who was tortured by enemies of Islam and led Arabs in prayer despite his being not an Arab
suhaib bin sinan bin malik bin abdul3mr bin 3qail bin 3amr bin jandal bin judhaiba bin k3b bin s3d bin aslam bin aus manat bin namr bin qasit bin afsa bin d3mi bin judaila bin asad bin  rab3a bin nizar bin m3d bin adnan is an arab also who was born in iraq, not rome. he was captured by romans and sold into slavery in rome.

and Khabbab bin al-Arratt also from Africa
khabbab binal aratt is an arab also who was in the service for utbah bin ghazwan
he is khabbab binal aratt bin jandala bin s3d bin khuzaima bin k3b bin s3d of banu tamiim

and would that fit the ancestors of AA's
who is the father or progenitor of the african and y is this not or never been a famous knowledge with other civilizations? meaning aksum has been mentioned by greeks. nubia by the romans, songhai, mali and ghana by themselves and mulatto and arabized arabs. yoruba, nupe, and hausa by the fulani jihad. never heared of the africans with the exception of the yemeni arabs who came with the tubba ifriqish who gave birth to (afariqah)and settled what is 2 day the hinterland of n africa. then the romans took and adopted the name (africanus) just like the greeks with ityopia.
CultureRe: When We Ruled - The Glories Of Egypt by member3(m): 7:43am On Jun 26, 2008
Our ancestors were the peasants of Egypt
this is a unique point in regards to migrations of groups of people. If you look at the americans you will see that a vast majority of them were peasants and indentures of europe mainly britain.
Probably accounts for why we have no great architectural wonders in West Africa (although lack of mountains for stone didn't help either).
this is a point that ibn khaldun mentions regarding the dwelling places of peoples living in the southern regions of the world. This also marks true of places in north western africa. morocco was not inhabited by many sedentary people so therfore they never developed the place until islam settled many different peoples in that region : <<arabs>>(syrian, peninsula, yemen), <<berbers>>(sanhaja, chleouh, tamazight) <<blacks>>(indigenous oasis-dwellers, gnawa(imported slaves), abeed albukhara(imported soldiers for the king), <<people of the book>>(jews, christians), <<andalusian>>(muslims of spain).
