By now Onanuga and Bwala would have made a dozen tweet about how PO is a bandit leader.

Rheno O’mockery would have traveled to Kaduna and Anambra to go and confirm how PO is the leader of a deadly cult group.

Okay. They say that the kidnappers allowed the victims to keep their phones in order to keep communication open for ransom negotiations.

Okay. Let me assume that was the case. But there are questions.

If there was constant communication between the hostages and their families and with authorities, why did it take 56 days to pinpoint where the phones were pinging from? Any Telcom will give you the coordinates, if they have a mast in the area.
Secondly, how were they charging their phones for 56 days in the thick forest?

I am not doubting the kidnap and rescue story, but please can someone explain to me, like I was a five year old, my old brain cannot process this.

An average batist and government apologist is very shallow in reasoning. Any question you ask the government about the release of the girls is a sign that you are unhappy that they were released, according to them. It is now clear that the Nigerian educational system clearly does not encourage people to think critically and not just accept anything thrown at them. Hence why the country is seriously messed up today. And sadly, there is little hope that things will get better.

The answer is one we all know too well: the weaponisation of poverty through vote-buying. When leaders realise they don’t need to convince people with ideas, they simply use money to persuade them. The future of the voters is traded for immediate small relief.

This culture of money politics is a serious curse on our democracy. Until we begin to demand competence, vision, and real solutions instead of entertainment and handouts, our politics will continue to serve the interests of a few at the expense of the majority.

Nigeria deserves better. We must wake up and choose wisely.✌🏽
