Update: A guy just DM'd asking if men can use this too. Yes - my brother uses the same black soap mix for razor bumps after shaving. Clears in 3 days.

My warning: DO NOT rinse with hot water like I did last year. I scarred my chin. Cold water only. The recipe link is still working 👇🏽

I struggled with acne and dark spots for 3 years. I was using black soap but my face kept getting worse 😩

Then a skincare formulator told me 3 things I was doing wrong:

1. Using raw black soap directly - pH is too harsh and strips your skin. Causes more oil + acne.
2. No moisturizer after - Black soap cleans deep. If you don't add moisture back, skin overcompensates with oil.
3. Mixing with lime/lemon - Acid + black soap = chemical burns for many people.

When I corrected these and used a proper formula, my skin cleared in 3 weeks.
